I'll never play Xenosaga 3 until ps2 emulation allows me to have a turbo key working at at least 500% the original speed. I may not have a life but there are a few grinding games that are still too much of a waste of time for me to even consider.

I guess I should have adopted the same policy with every PS2 JRPG, especially P3&4: besides VP2 I can't name any other PS2 RPG that is both good and not plagued by time-wasting distractions (loading, long useless repetitive animations, clunky interface, boring fights requiring no strategy, mandatory fetch quests...)

What do you guys have against Xenosaga? Its gameplay may not be the best, but in terms of plot it's in a league of its own. The only JRPG plot that comes close to Xenosaga is Xenogears, and not even Xenogear's plot is half as deep/complex as Xenosaga. The side characters in Xenosaga 2 have bigger plots than the main characters in most JRPGs. And for the first time ever in a JRPG, the villains were beyond good and evil. Most JRPG plots are childish in comparison. Can you name ONE JRPG plot that comes close to Xenosaga in terms of complexity and originality?

Star Ocean? Don't make me laugh.
Digital Devil Saga? Haha, no.
Final Fantasy 1-12. Are you kidding?
Arc the Lad? I chuckled.
Chrono Trigger? Meh.
Disgaea? Seriously, name one plot that comes close.
