I think there's a patch being worked on, but if it makes you feel any better, when you beat the bosses, they don't ASPLODE, but rather complain that they got beaten then teleport away. You never actually "kill" anybody except for the personality-less bosses on the last three/four levels you unlock after beating all 8 bosses.
