If I became a billionaire, I'd buy huge tracks of land and turn them into a fantasy land for all fantasy fans out there.

/jp/ can visit if they like. I'll even create crystal caves that mimic your natural basement environment.

I thought of doing that at one point. The initial isn't too bad, but the upkeep is a killer. It also occurred to me how many fantasy fans would want to stay in a place with no cable or power. Even after that I still give it serious consideration from time to time. I've been coming up with plans that shield the inside from the elements and still let you use electricity and have cable (although hidden from sight).

>> No.2584537

Yeah, like make it fit the visual style of the rest of the fantasy land somehow. It'd be tough, but worth it.

Though, it would be neat. You'd have to invite all those strange folk who got ear enhancements to look like elves and such.

Not if certain technology is permitted.

Like, imagine a market place full of fantasy styled folk selling CDs, disguised laptops and such with whatever the currency of this fantasy nation is. Y'know, exchange a satchel of gold coins in return for a "looking box" or whatever they'd be called.

Pic related.

My idea was more of a village setting with a wooded area around it instead of random huts in the woods. That way people would at least have things to do (such as visit with other people, game, whatever).

Then there is the problem if actually inviting people up onto my mountain to live in a village like that (or move some place a bit more hospitable actually).

>> No.2584614

>>2584600
In my daydreams, the idea was always to terraform large tracks of uninhabited land. I don't know where that'd be, but it'd provide for the possibility of forests, mountains and multiple villages and even small cities. A complete fantasy land.

>> No.2584623

It would be good initially, the it will overpopulate and turn into shit. Seriously, happens to everything good.

>> No.2584624

>>2584586
Actually, this is the better idea as you can use it as a main center of control. You don't actually need a generator, you run it off of a grid ... maybe 10 miles away. you can put anything REALLY large out in the woods burried part way under ground, and watermills can be REALLY big.

What about it? From what I've seen, all you do is slit its throat to kill it and dumping boiling water on it to defeather. It's more fun to raise the chickens than to kill them though.

>> No.2584914

>>2584896
I've done this kind of stuff in the past. After I played Harvest Moon, I wanted to do it for myself so I got some chickens and grew some plants.
It worked out great, but my Dad had to kill the first one for me 'cause I found it too hard. Then, once I'd seen it done, I did the rest myself.

It's not so bad, and they were delicious.

Nah, killing them itself was easy. I was just young and felt sorry for them. Then, I reminded myself that my dad had planned that we wouldn't eat anything else for about a week, so I had to do it.

Once it was done, I didn't feel bad at all.

Totally. I couldn't give a shit about fish. When I went fishing as a kid, we used to make commentaries for all the fish we were killing:

"AHH, NO DON'T CUT OFF MY HEAD! I NEED THAT!"
(Cockney accent) "Ahh! 'Eaven 'elp uss!"
etc.

With all due respect.

Sir.
