Think about it this way. You know someone really well, and are a rather good friend to them and vice versa. You like them a lot, and they seem to like you a lot. One thing leads to another, and you wind up in bed together. But then you realize that you weren't really attracted in a -sexual- fashion. The end result is a feeling of awkwardness, because the whole exchange just came off feeling wrong somehow.

Oh god this. Some of Hisao's reactions generally irk me. That's actually why I enjoy Rin's and Shizune's arcs the most, because he seems to actually have some real character development of his own by the end of them. It's more subtle with Shizune, but with Rin he nearly achieves fucking enlightenment by sitting against a wall for six hours. The whole segment impressed me quite a bit.

In retrospect, for someone who has never interacted with the disabled in the past and never given it much thought, his reactions were rather believable. It wasn't so much his actions that annoyed me, but his train of thought sometimes. Of course, he also develops over the course of this first act, sometimes drastically depending on your choice of girl (as I mentioned before).

She's used to thinking and talking to herself and it gets translated when she tries to interact with other people. Just learn to see past her outward appearance and look at who she is, not what she is, that is all she wants.
