Latter for me too. Gynormous drivers full of Touhou pictures are for faggots.

I've gravitated towards the latter. I have a lot of poor stuff from early days, but I delete and replace with more interesting images as I find them.

I only save pictures I like but that's still over 10000 touhou pictures.

I have a lot of pixiv favourites etc but I don't save them that often.

Latter, but the sheer volume of available Touhou pics means there are also many good ones. No reason not to be picky.

Usually I'll download an image dump of 1 character, then fill it in with pictures I like after that.

Dunno why, but I just can't stand looking at an image folder with less then 50 or so images in it. Feels strange.

7,000 files and a folder for each of the characters worth giving a shit about, one for pairs, one for group pics, one for yukkuri, one for ZUN

All files, Touhou or otherwise are saved to a RAID 6 system locked in a lead lined cleanroom.

Should the internet fall, it is up to me to rebuild it.

Just the ones I really like - afterall, the images are ALL on the internet, it's pointless to save any to begin with, let alone every single one. But it's harder to find ones you really liked again through all the others, so yeah.

I can be very picky about images. If there are little mistakes, or it looks like an artist drew a Touhou contrary to their character, or took too many liberties with them, I won't save it, even if it's otherwise rather good.

I think this is a great picture of Marisa, but almost didn't save it due to the fact that her eye color is wrong.

I save every pictar on 4chan that I like, and with topics that I especially like (such as Touhoes) I have more lenient standards. I don't save "every" picture though, only ones that aren't shit.

I used to go through coolier, akibakko, etc saving most of the pics I liked. Now I have 110K images and feel like killing myself. Should have heightened the standards a lot more, but there weren't a lot of good pictures back then so I saved even "just decent" ones. Now life is easier with pixiv.

I ignore touhou image threads unless the initial or last posts have an interesting image and make me open them.

It depends. Some days, I'm lazy and only save the ones I really like. Other days, I SAVE EVERYTHING, INCLUDING SHITTY SKETCHES.

anyone who saves every touhou picture they see will be surfing danbooru right now, and will be surfing it until the end of time since I'm fairly sure artwork is being produced faster than you can actually save it.

Only ones I really like, unless a thread has a lot of images in which case I save everything with DownThemAll. Sometimes I find little surprises later, like that 4chan.js shit

I motivate myself into saving only good pictures by saying one day I'll organize and tag everything.

Yeah, that /mahoro/Images/Touhou/Reimu/armpits directory can get cluttered, but it's not often that I'm forced to find a specific image that I recalled from memory within 10 seconds which would be slightly easier if I could just type "reimu nitori_giving_a_cucumber_fellatio_in_background" (which would of course take all fucking day labeling all of them beforehand. Tags are for danbooru.)

With RAID6, you're fine as long as you don't lose three drives or more.

With RAID10, your drives are in sets, and you're fine as long as you don't lose every drive in one set.

RAID6 has slower write speed due to using parity sectors, though RAID10 has a much higher loss of storage space.

I used to save a lot of pictures back before the /a/-/jp/ split. Back when the only pictures were from Scarlet Devil, Cherry Blossom, or Imperishable Night. Now there are too many pictures and I only save the really good ones. Usually only ones that I wouldn't be embarrassed if other people found them on my computer.
