I like Shizune, but I hope there's a route where you can get her to reconcile with others.

If there is one, it's probably going to be forced as shit, with Hanako killing herself, and Shizune moping around and crying for ten days before 10 hours of dialogue is spent on Misha translating her apology to Lilly.

>JSL uses mouthing (saying a word with or without making a sound) to disambiguate various signs. Fingerspelling (see JSL syllabary) was introduced from the United States in the early part of the twentieth century but is used less than in the USA. Finger writing (tracing Japanese characters in the air) is sometimes used. There is a system associating the kanji with particular signs, which is used for places and personal names.

Oral deaf is a retarded way to raise a deaf child and that ban was stupid.

Some deaf parents wanted to make their kids more acceptable to society by punishing them for learning sign language and insisting that they learn to speak and lip read only. It's pretty much considered to be a terrible way now to teach a deaf child.

Yes it is a retarded way to raise a child, but until a few years ago they still banned the teaching of JSL in schools, and as a result most school taught them to lip-read and try to speak and what other stupid non-sense they could come up with. They should have gone with JSL and finger tracing.

Well I have nothing against teaching oral deaf itself, but punishing a child for learning sign is ridiculous. It bewilders me that there are still parents who prevent their child from learning sign when it's a perfectly valid way to communicate with both other deaf and hearing people.
