When was the last time you cried /jp/? I cried two minutes ago. Loneliness is killing me. God I miss talking to people. It's so fucking hard to be interested in anything when you spend every single day all alone.

>> No.2518738

Let me guess. Flatulence-inflicted loneliness, right?

Doesn't matter. Socializing is a basic human need. I can't even motivate myself to study. Why should I care about exams when all I do is spend every single day all alone?

Whenever the last sad episode of Clannad was. Then I nearly cried again listening to the soundtrack.

>Socializing is a basic human need
Wrong. Unlike the need for food, water, and sexual pleasure, the desire to socialize is a desire imposed on us by society in which we are raised, and which we can ignore without causing personal suffering.

Let him try to justify his loneliness, those people consider social interactions like druggies consider crack cocaine.

About an hour ago while watching Shallow Hal. That little girl with the teddy bear made me feel really sad.

This is not true. Studies have shown that lonely people are more prone to illness, and they die earlier. Loneliness can also cause depression, feeling of emptiness, and psychotic like syndromes.

About 1.5 months ago when I watched Okuribito.
Tend to cry 1-3 times a year, always due to very sad movies or TV shows.
Last time I cried for any other reason was when I got all four wisdom teeth pulled and my body rejected the stitches, resulting in an unholy pain as the stitches were pushed through my gums, causing them to tighten further and further until they finally snapped from tension.

When your ancestors were squatting in a cave, I highly doubt they sent one of their own to do basic tasks such as hunting and gathering on their own.

Richard Taflinger presents an excellent examination of how humanity's inherently social nature led to its growth and expansion.

Saying humans are inherently social is like saying dogs are inherently domestic.
Point is societies developed because by definition, someone living alone couldn't have furthered his species.
Your argument is irrelevant on a personal scale.

Lonely people or people who are alone? There's a world of difference between those who are alone by choice and those who aren't.

Also being more prone to illness and dying earlier isn't exactly surprising for non-mental health related reasons. Not being exposed to other people's disgusting flesh bags will mean the immune system sees less action, and is thus not very useful when something does hit. Also I'd imagine those not in a social circle do less exercise as a result of less sports, and not having to compete in a clusterfuck to try and appear attractive by spending hours and hours of valuable life in a gym.
Also, depressed psychotic people are probably more likely to be alone and friendless than your average normalfag.

In short those studies were pretty meaningless. Correlation != Causation and all that.

No it isn't. Because someone all alone loses the ability to function normally, which is why mankind wouldn't have evolved if we weren't inherently social.

Re-reading OP and I got to this page. It's surprisingly sad at times. Prior to that, re-read Clannad a while back.

>Saying humans are inherently social is like saying dogs are inherently domestic.
No it would be more like saying dogs are inherently pack animals (which they are). Some people can live without social interaction, but to say that humans are not social animals is a blatant lie.

Everyone on this board is lonely, what makes you think you're somehow special? Man up and throw away your feelings so they don't manipulate you any more.

No, don't throw away your feelings. Learn to manipulate them instead. Properly controlled, they can provide a powerful boost to your determination, concentration and strength in many situations.
