Having done up to E7H P2 and glancing over zekamashi, as long as you have one of each CVL you'll be fine, it doesn't suck up fast CVLs like in the old days. You'll sooner run short of CVs which carries on to

But well, remember that Hornet is the real prize, and if your fleet isn't shit you should be able to clear casual in a few hours. Medium only gives a TBF anyway, and Hornet gives more while you should have a few in stock, its not exactly a top tier TB either.
