Finished Summer pockets Reflection blue. Liked it a lot. Some of the drama/story of the new routes falls a bit flat but overall the writing and setting are enjoyable that all of the new content is fun to read.

Final route ranking: Kamome > Ao = Shizuku >> Shiki = Tsumugi >>> Miki > Shiroha >>> Umi

Since I’ve already read the original I’ve skipped/skimmed through the original routes. There is definitely some new content there. Alka and Pockets have new scenes including a epilogue which makes the entire ending even more convoluted than it already was. The original heroine routes have a couple of insert songs that I don't remember being there in the original release. I'm not sure if I’ve caught everything that was new but besides the epilogue I don't think the new content in these routes matter that much to the overall experience.

New content:
Ping pong: A fun minigame to do in between other routes. If you liked the Shimamon minigame you're probably going to like this one as well.

Umi: This route felt more like a 'true normal route' than a classic heroine route. Overall it felt a bit lackluster since it doesn't come close to the Umi's content in the original game. The quality of her voice acting also dropped off in RB compared to the original.

Nomiki: I looked forward to this route the most but i felt pretty disappointed. The 'gimmick' leads to some fun comedy scenes but besides the early introduction of the supernaturalpart it takes too long to get going. Excluding the comedy the only part I really liked was the heartwarming ending. Hairi is a lad

Shiki: Not much to say besides it being a solid route. It didn't really grab me emotionally but i liked the gimmick and Shiki as a character.

Shizuku: The ‘gimmick’ is a bit weak but this is the strongest route when it comes to personal drama. It's also the only new route that is worth analyzing.

Hey guys, I got a question regarding installation of VNs

How come whenever I install a VN (usually in Program Files (x86) directory by default), most of the installed folders could be move and renamed, but some can't be moved, renamed, or altered in any way? Would anyone know a workaround for this so I don't have to keep the original installer files to save on space? Or at the least, would anyone know why this happens?

Attached is a sample image that says "CG Pack File cannot be read." when I try to start the game after moving it out from the installed location (same result if I rename the folder)

It depends on how the programmer decided to implement it. It is programmed that way.
You could try replacing the installation folder with a symbolic link. These links make it look like the files/folders are still there but any access will get redirected to another location of your choice.

Finally finished Amakano 2.
Don't have a ton of thoughts on it, good vanilla moege overall. Very light on plot/drama, almost entirely cute ichaicha. Rei is absolutely stellar and the clear standout, Chitose's excellent, Yuuhi's cute but I don't think they handle her two-faced personality bit very well. By partway through her route, it really doesn't amount to much more than her speaking less politely sometimes. They went to the trouble of making an entire second set of expressions for her 'other face', and the expressions felt massively underutilized. Basically, I feel they could've had something really interesting with her but didn't really capitalize on the potential.
I did wish that I'd played the other games first considering how many cameos they had, but I guess that's on me.
All in all if you want a moege that's heavy on the fluffy ichaicha and light on everything else, it's great.

This is one of my pet peeves with VNs. I like to use max text speed, or "instant text" if you want. But very commonly auto speed is done in a way, where the game waits a specific amount of time once all text is shown, so the normal text speed is part of the equation when it comes to how long it takes before the next line starts.

I don't use auto. But whenever a game actually does use it automatically, it's usually fucked because the default setting ends up fairly fast. So you get this massive 3 liner that'd normally take 10 seconds to appear, and it's gone after 2 for me because of great implementations of auto modes. It's so stupid, honestly. Was years since I read this one but I didn't like it. I felt like it tried to be like Eustia without achieving anything of what Eustia had to offer.
- The world half-asses being "dark" and "terrible" which is contrasted heavily with things such as the school setting and how the characters act. Eustia manages to build the dark atmosphere because it doesn't have these jarring elements.
- I thought the protagonist was way more boring.
- Character routes are forgettable. Eustia's character routes felt fresh because they explored a different stratum of the world - I can still remember what the themes of each character actually was and that was a way earlier read.
- All the buildup to the conclusion and it was just super meh.
