Well, the nice thing about the style system is that if you've already been raising a character's stats with a different style and you pull a new one for them, they'll start off at a fairly similar strength level. For example, I've been using A Undine since I started and I recently got her S style from the Christmas banner. I immediately switched to the new S style and even though she didn't have any spells unlocked yet, I was able to bring her to the same levels as A Undine and her inherited Squall was doing the same 4 digit damage right out of the box.
Remember, any time you gain stats from an expedition or after a battle, those stats stay with the character regardless of the style they're using.

Sagabros, remember to stack debuffs if enemies are doing too much damage. I have 3 different STR debuffers on my Forest of Mystery team and I just got the pyrohydra's heavy hitting physical attack, which use to do 150-200 damage to my tank, down to doing literally 1 (one, uno) damage after a few turns of spamming debuffs.

First thing first, you should always ignore korean trash.

Spent a few more stamina bars fishing for Rouge again, no dice. But when I overflowed on crappy drops from the stage, I discovered something kind of weird. The game appears to keep separate inventories for weapons, armor, gear (this is where equipment upgrade orbs go) and accessories, yet hitting the limit on any of them seems to make you hit your limit on all of them. Looking at my inventories now, it looks like the number for the "weapons" inventory actually includes all four inventory amounts.

On a semi-related note, I need some S grade slashing weapons to kill Subier. I've read the best swords drop from 4-1 VH and the best greatswords from 4-2, but I'm only on episode 3 VH and it's getting pretty, well, hard. Is it worth farming for and investing in the inferior S grade weapons from episode 1 and 2 like Eckesachs and Imperator in the meantime?

Yeah, the game does a piss poor job of showing it since it will only display if a stat's been debuffed, not the number of debuff "stacks" or the amount of the current debuff on them.
Everything stacks, here's an example to verify it using the situation I was talking about in my previous post. I was using Flowing Slash on Hector (inherited from Orion), Submission on Azami (inherited from Christmas Azami) and Bonecrusher on Sophia. After each application of a -str debuff, the pyrohydra did less and less damage. When I stopped using Submission and Bonecrusher and kept using just Flowing Slash to apply more strength debuffs, the hydra's damage kept going down, proving that Flowing Slash's debuff was stacking with itself as well as the others.
I've read that debuffs stack in a multiplicative fashion, meaning there's diminishing returns but don't let that discourage you from stacking them! Because the debuffs are only "small" debuffs (I haven't seen any medium or large ones yet), they need to be stacked in order to have any sort of real impact.
And with that, it's back to the Rouge mines. Catch you guys later.

Every buff and debuff in the game are multiplicative.

This is the debuff effect strength. You will notice that if you land small effect debuffs once, it doesn't do much but when you land small effect debuffs multiple times, you really start seeing the boss really get slowed down.
This is why Azami and Cat is important for Strike teams, they both have Submission. And why Ginny becomes ridiculously overpowered later down the line due to how she gets two styles that specialize in debuffing INT and STR tremendously and nothing else.
Buffs are a kinda a meh thing because once you get knocked out, it's gone. But there are ridiculously overpowered ones like Matriarch's Song of Victory or 1.5 Anniversary Undine's healing passive.

It's 3 extra stat points, or 4 or if you get something like STR+ instead of STR. I don't think it's going to be the difference between winning or losing any fight but if you have nothing else to do, might as well minmax.
Weapons can't drop with elements yet, though they will in the future. The exception are staves, which come with elements baked in that you can easily tell from their name and portrait. The tradeoff is that unlike other weapons, staves can't drop with a bonus to a particular stat yet but that too will come in the future.

If you're referring to the weapon's element, like Sophia's light hammer, my understanding is that if you try to do an elemental attack (like Wildfire) and you don't have a weapon of the corresponding element (if you gave Sophia a normal hammer for example), your damage will be significantly reduced. This is why Wil isn't very good right now, because there's no fire hammer in the game for him.

If you tap on the stats on the screen that tapping "CP" brings up on a style's info, you'll get more details on what each stat does. STR affects damage with swords, greatswords, axes, spears and hammers while DEX affects damae with rapiers, bows and guns (when they're added later on). Fists/martial arts are special in that both STR and AGI get used for damage, with AGI having a little bit more weight (2.5x AGI vs 2x STR). So when farming for S weapons with stat bonuses, you'll want ones with the appropriate stat for boosting your damage.

I'm maxing out an S fire staff for Volcano, but these things are still too strong to beat. Took all the luck I had just to limp into the final wave to die. My only gripe about RS so far is that a lot of the difficulty seems to be getting the perfect enemy move use RNG so they don't just wipe your best guys with impunity.

That's how I feel too, a lot of enemies just have either double-digit HP normal attacks or instakill special moves, so you just have to pray they don't decide to instagib your dudes more times than you can handle. Status effects are very useful when they work, Blue pretty much never leaves my party because his chance of confusing an enemy each wave is too useful on it's own, not to mention the massive damage he outputs being in the center of Seer's Focus

The most difficult part about AGA gameplay are these movement controls. On a phone it's understandable, as they have to put everything into one touch control.
But on the PC with a gamepad it's not so much better for some reason. Moving the stick sometimes makes them do a jump-evasion, sometimes they continue to jump-evade until the boost is empty and sometimes they move normally. When you let go of the stick, they often continue to move, making you turn the stick into the other direction, which sometimes causes another boost-eating evade, even though you only wanted to stop.
On top of that there is the intentional boost mechanic, which is in general a nice feature, but makes this even worse.
Don't know how people manage.

I strictly use the intentional boost. A flick will almost always dodge when it's on, but I don't think I've figured out how to reliably do the alt combo for melee yet. That was the only way to really get consistent dodging, which I can do more successfully on a PC wired xbox controller instead of on my phone where screen input is fighting for processor power to render.
I still have to figure out a better way to get lock-on to switch, since I really would need one more left-hand button to at least shoot properly if I'm going to pretend I can reach for my mouse real quick.

I need to practice while trying to get no-hit clears in investigations, but I really haven't been playing at all recently. Couldn't get Fatima's maid outfit with the two bags I had either so now I'm out of those again. Kinda surprised they didn't do another swimsuit outfit set.

Once the gold sparkles turn to the slow-moving faint green ones, that's when I move on. If there's no sparkles at all, you can't gain stats there.

Unless it's changed, the ideal method is to do coop until you hit 250 jewels, do a 10 roll and then make a new account and try again if you don't get the character you want. It goes fairly fast because the first time you do coop with people will give you extra jewels for a while. I'm not sure if new players get any free 10 rolls on the current type gachas but if you wanted to be lazy you could settle for one of the better characters off of those and use them to farm jewels until the anniversary hits next week.

Alternatively, wait the week and reroll for the strongest anniversary character.

The game that gives me so much currency but locks the most broken and game breaking powercreeps behind Moonlight summons that you can't roll with normal currency.
The game that added a guarantee to every banner but removed the chance to get offbanner characters which effectively makes every character a pseudo limited because the only way to get them after their gacha is over is to darkpot it from the normal generic no banner gacha without rateups that nobody would ever dare roll in other games.
The game with literally zero PVE content and 5 diferent PVP modes including real time PVP where all of them require for you to have rolled all the meta characters.
The game where you have to eternally grind for gear all your life but then a new update comes and the gear you suffered for months to grind is now shit and you have to start from zero.

Truly the best game, every other game should be like it.
