Who are the yanderes, tsunderes, and danderes in Gensokyo? For some reason, I always think of Satori as a dandere. Maybe it's the vague resemblance to Yuki Nagato. As for yanderes, everyone knows Yuka isn't really yandere. She's just plain yan-yan. But I guess you can call all youkai 'yandere', seeing as how they're all batshit crazy and cute.

>dandere

Don't know what the fuck that is.

>yan-yan

The term "yan-" originates from is "yangire".

Youkai aren't all batshit crazy or cute.

You don't know what the fuck yandere is.

What a shitty topic.

Yes they are.

Going by PMiSS, not even Yuka is at the level of "batshit crazy".

I was asking who in Gensokyo do you think is a yandere, tsundere, and dandere. It's not like I was laying out a definition of 'yandere' for you to get so butthurt over, you faggot.

Maybe you should consider rewording your shit then.

Note those thingies around the word 'yandere', bud.

I'm not sure "dandere" is a term broad enough to mean what you're making it mean.

It's pretty broad.

Look, pal. "Those thingies" work only if their figurative meaning is easily derivable from literal meaning and context. If I call you "smart and knowledgeable", for example, it will be understood that what I really mean is that you're an idiot. If I call you, say, (http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/Special:Random)) "cofinite", it will be an incomprehensible babbling regardless of the presence of "thingies".

Yandere doesn't mean what you think it means (it has nothing to do with "cute", for starters). Just deal with it.

Sorry, bub. You see, some, such as yourself, seem to think that 'yandere' is just a synonym for 'mentally unstable' (which it isn't) as 'moe' is a synonym for 'cute' (which it certainly isn't, despite what some others might say).

The Chicago Manual of Style, 15th edition, says “Quotation marks are often used to alert readers that a term is used in a nonstandard, ironic, or other special sense [...] They imply ‘This is not my term’ or ‘This is not how the term is usually applied.’"

What's the difference between Kuudere and Dandere?

So, which Touhou do you think is a yandere?

That's precisely what I said. Which you might have understood if you had no problems with reading comprehension.

>You see, some (...) seem to think that 'yandere' is just a synonym for 'mentally unstable' (which it isn't)

And you're apparently one of those people, seeing as you completely ignore the 'dere' part (or, rather, seem to think it means 'cute').

I always thought dandere was the quiet cool type, like Yuki Nagato, while kuudere was the collected warrior cool type, like Seiba. I'm probably wrong though.

Which part do you not understand? Is it the part where I implicitly disagree with how the term is used by some? I don't think 'dere' means 'cute. I know what it means. What I do think is that Touhous are cute. That they are. And they're cute because they're a little crazy, what, with the human-eating and all.

P.S.

Faggot.

>> No.2452903

According to googled sources, dan- is an abbreviation of danmari, which means to be calm or to never talk. A dandere girl therefore only talks when she is in deredere mode, in the same way that a tsundere only stops being a bitch when she's in deredere mode.

Kuudere is just cool-dere. It's not mutually exclusive. In fact, it overlaps enough that perhaps it shouldn't even be a term.

>> No.2452929

>>2452859
I was under the impression that dandere is more extreme than kuudere in the "quiet" category....but I don't know for sure.

Oh, I once read a h-manga like that, only the guy was the one who only talked after/while having sex.
