I think what makes the best animation regardless of style is mostly solid fundamentals and timing
Animation is grounded on real life but the point of it is to outdo and exaggerate it (not necessarily more wild movements but more feeling - imo part of why rotoscoping is so uncanny looking) by emphasizing parts of the actions using the 12 principles

People always recommend reading Richard William's "Animator's Survival Kit" and for good reason def check that out and start practicing animating now. It's probably gonna suck but everyone starts somewhere.

How do I learn how to draw cute girls?

I think mastery of volume and perspective is leagues more important than knowledge of anatomy and (to a lesser extent) proportion

Nothing is more important to attractiveness than porportions. It doesn't matter how voluminous and in perspective your character is if it's some sort of uncanny freak. Symmetry and volume would be the next most important. Anatomy is the least important and holds you back a bit anyway.

You're right, the boobies should be a bit lower, it should start closer to the sternum rather than the clavicle/collarbone. But I feel like it's because there's not enough space on the torso for the clavicle area, this flat one still has the same feeling too. What about trying making the upper torso a bit longer?

I should say though, it really depends on what you're trying to do with the character. My opinion comes from me seeing her as an adult character (because of the tiddies). you're right that /jp/ isn't constantly fast, but it is often enough that the other anon is correct in his assessment. it's a problem. sorry for being part of it, but it's bump limit and your seemingly dismissive attitude irked me.

I don't want more of these threads because they are a relic of the past. Most old posters have moved on and the sense of a /jp/ community is no longer here.
