Gilgamesh would probably have been Archer; the servant left from the last war was supposed to be Ajax originally. (Which got kind of mixed up as things progressed, which is why Archer can use Rho Aias for no reason)

I don't see Shirou trying to be a superhero as a woman. I just wouldn't have been able to buy it. Shirou's whole personality revolves around being a chivalrous guy. It would be interesting to see what kind of personality and goals the female lead would have had.
