First levelup was 17%, after that it was two 8%.
Everytime, i needed to reroll the list around 23 times, feels somewhat static.
Next level up, i'll start from reroll 20 and see.

Page 97181 there's an uber magic enhance option.
You can choose which page you end up with using a blessed scroll of name, instead of autistically pressing enter dozens of times, restarting when you make a mistake. Like i was doing.
Ah, the list also change once you get the Ehekatl gem feat, which i don't have.

I'm going to test it next time i get the Ehekatl feat and a scroll of name, and report on it.
Guess it also means next wish is dedicated for a new justice weapon, since using the uber enchant the first time would straight up more than double my power.

Plus or Oomsest? And what weapon? Either way, you can just use artifact fusion in both later to get your desired perfect equips with full res, so I would recommend getting pierce/enhances magic in it, besides the only limit for a living weapon in Oomsest is the number of your scrolls of name so go wild with it.
You only need to focus on chaos/mag res anyway against bosses.

Can someone explain what all the bad blood is about between Elona Plus and some other variants? I played original, omake, and plus (all a long time ago), but when I check the wikis for some other mods I see traces of drama about being 'anti-plus' or 'anti-omake', but I don't really get why. Others variants are simply offering the files of the variants, while you have to download vanilla yourself.

There's a few other steps if you want custom items/npcs to be translated. From the discord:

1. Install Vanilla 1.22

2. Install latest omake_overhaul into Elona folder without these three folders; \user\god, \user\item, \user\npc but KEEP wuqing.ooitem at \user\item\omake_overhaul.
omake_overhaul.exe should be in the same folder as elona.exe.

3. Grab omake_overhaul_English's four folders; \data, \user\god, \user\item, \user\npc and place these into \user. Then replace tulip.item at \user\item\omake_overhaul with wuqing.ooitem which you kept earlier.

By traveling 10 you should be able to do runs without much issue, assuming you stock up on teleport rods for when they do show up.
The stamina teleport feat warp you way too often right in the middle of the mob for my taste, though it's a lifesaver if you've got nothing else.

New-ish player playing a mage: should I go for dragonscale or adamantium armor?

The increased PV on adamantium seems better, but maybe the resistances on dragonscale will be better in the long term? The Loss guide in the OP recommends I switch my weapons and gear to "adamantium and dragonscale" -- is that adamantium weapons and dragonscale armor? Or does it depend on my combat style?

Well, if you're trying to play pure caster, you will want to wear light armors, no shield, no dual wield to maximize cast chance. Also, what determines light, medium, or heavy is the total weight of what you wear. For, which kind of equip you want, you probably want anything with elemental and ailments resistance, also enhance spell damage quips. Well, that's probably the basic. I might be wrong tho, as I don't main a pure caster.

Try to prioritize which items get adamantium vs which are for enchants, in descending order of pv:
body > shield > helm>gloves>shoes=cloak>belt>neck>ring


Beyond that, you need superb fire/cold resists to avoid destroyed gear, and superb mind/sound helps with insanity and dim. The other elemental status effects have actually immunities, like confusion immunity on a sage's helm. For generic magic resistance, the magic element is more efficient to focus on, since it provides half resistance to everything else.

For fixed resists these materials are useful:

Dragonscale = fire/cold 50 enchant power each
wood = mind 100 enchant power
leather = sound 25 enchant power

Some gear has resists too, but this is the most noteworthy one.
Aurora rings = sound 50 enchant powoer

I can't believe someone else used my shitty cheese strats. Sorry about how it ended though. Bit of advice. If you wall her up and have some decent ranged option, equip anti teleport equipment.
Enthu will waste even more of her turns using her ability that teleports everyone to her, since her ai isn't made to deal with that not working it seems.

Does Element Scar not work on bosses? I'm having a hard time hitting with it... I might have to rethink this build if I can't land Element Scar.

Bosses get ~75% hex resistance, but you can land hexes on them if you try hard enough.

Another thing to keep in mind is that generic magic resistance can prevent hexes same as holy veil does, and bosses have a much higher resistance. Eventually this won't matter much, but it can be a problem until your hexes are in the several hundred range.

Well, depend on what you want, actually. Both have different features. But, personally, If you just started try picking E+ custom/g, It is much easier and since the skill cost much less PP you can try and pick various style and focus on your preferred play style later on, and has more campaign chapters (Up to 3rd? act). It has different modes as well. While omake have more min-max feats and for-fun feats, also, several new gods, skill like smithing weapons and armor, and South tyris 2nd act. just pick it up whenever you already know what you want. They have different learning curve tho, so you have to re-learn a bit if you switch. Just read the pastebin on the OP, they have much more and better description on what each version does.

Chest armor is your best source of PV and should always be adamantium. For other equipment slots you've got more flexibility for taking resistances you want and things like that.

Heh, someone else posted those, but yes I also capped my spell enhance. However, I usually switch my nunchuck out with a 15.5s vital flayer before I cast buffs. This way I can use magic equip. I don't need the extra enhance anymore, but the weight class is still useful.

I kinda want to wait until doing that, and get the title associated with it, to start my levelling up my adamantium living saber of magic enhancing omnipotence.
I tested in wizard mode and memory edited myself the title, and the difference is kinda massive...
And since the bottleneck is scrolls of name, i'd lose nothing in waiting.
There'd be the added benefit of starting with a huge enchant bonus from level 1, making sure i'm not wasting the enchant bonus each level-up and reach +9999 faster.

TL;DR how fast can you get hammer level 2000 without bubble farm

It only takes a couple hours tops, if you have the skins needed. Faster if you are using the test builds that let you continuously hammer.

However, you do need ~20k-40k skins, half at low level half at price cap (lvl 49M+ bubbles work). I haven't tested the new smith xp boost to see how it affects this.

Doing this with a bubble farm isn't to bad, but without one? I have no idea, but good luck.

I enjoyed reading it very much when I started to play elona, but now I see that most of the pages are outdated and some of them are just wrong. It's clearly that elona+ updates so often that wiki don't even try catch on.

I want to start a new Elona+ run but I feel like 2.00 will change so much stuff/introduce so many possible bugs transferring from 1.99 that I should wait. And then probably wait to make sure there's no 2.00R emergency release for any major bugs. Feels bad.

It's a good way to get (more of) specific effects. +crit on ammo is excellent. It also lets you "promote" non-artifacts for use with Artifact Fusion, or create nearly-empty artifacts to customize.

I have a unique little build idea for you guys, and I already did the hard work of sussing out how best to get the build moving early game. The Alchemist. Defeating enemies only through alchemy and alchemy related shenanigans. No need for complexities like being good with magic or weapons.

Yerles/Juere/Goblin Farmer. Race is just taste among these three, but getting extra material pulls will be good the later you get in to the game to grind alchemy easier. Tag Control Magic. That's not negotiable. Take Hypnosis as a feat. This is just a really good idea. Take little girl as your pet and go enjoy some Harvest Time for a while. Once you find a Pot for Fusion, you should be set. Make yourself some magistus with the Crystal Bomb recipe. Note, save up your bonus points to dump in to alchemy for this. And maybe a dab of control magic. The combination of both determines the item's level. Make several of them. Make them periodically as your alchemy and control magic improve.

Now go pick up the DD Cemetery Key from the Lumiest Cemetery. Pick up the coffins there too and use them to summon the default cats they come with. Get rid of little girl. YOU ARE NOW AN ALCHEMY MAIN. Feel threatened? (T)hrow your crystals at yourself. Control Magic will keep your zombies safe. Pick them up off the ground and repeat. If you keep on this path, eventually you'll get alchemy rain/liquid manipulation. Make more coffins and upgrade them as you can. You have have 15 total zombies at your disposal.

As far as I remember, no, nothing has been changed (someone, please confirm). I wish shield can be better as I for one love using shield. I f you insist on using shield. Try dual shield, provoke, buff, debuff pet, shadow steps and blast 'em with a shotty, for pseudo melee build. Or Martial arts with dual shield (preferably with MA+ bonus). Not sure how good are those build in the long run.

Used bloodstream during late Act 2 to mid Act 3 as my main attack (level 90, 150-ish con), managed to kill some lv 600+ nefia boss using it, harakiri, capsule drugs, and several rods of teleportation, but ultimately decided not to use it anymore.
SP cost is too high for it it to be spammable and straight up inferior to just Mana Burning your shit up for instant burst damage, especially during a death maneki situation.
For Cradle of Chaos, assuming there's no wall crushing enemies, you can just make some wall around yourself to rest and heal, although the better option is just to use Dimensional fishing to kill your enemies off one by one.
Never gonna thought that Wall Creation and Fishing skill would end up as my trump card though, and that it works every time.

Nah, I said you can only have 15 active at once. You have to keep the rest in coffin form. When you lose one, or make it explode, they turn back into coffins, and you summon new ones to replace the old ones.

This is mostly useful if you want to use your zombies to kamikaze rush through dungeons. Though, later once you get fusion, you'll (probably) want enough replacements to use zombie fusion more than once a day.

A stop gap mesure is to always have 5 or so potions of restore body and mind on you.

You can use restore potions/spells to get your stats back up. There's a lot of enemies that lower your stats, so having a stock of them on hand is a good idea.

Blessed restore pots even raise your stats. Cursed ones lower it. This can be useful when training magic capacity, so save those too.

Unfortunately, I lost my save file from the last time I played. So I tried dabbling with oomSEST as well while starting over in Elona+

oomSEST has a bunch of neat QoL things like Damage Number displays, autopickup and speech bubbles that I really wished Elona+ had.
But I can't do as much stuff with my Allies like I could in Elona+, like sharing meals, customization, and all dat.

I can only hope oomSEST eventually grows just as big as E+ content wise, cuz I'm really digging how smooth it is to play compared to E+ and gives me nostalgia for when I played Vanilla Elona.

Debuffs? Act 4 got some Oblivion Beast that can do unblockable version of Touch of Weakness.
Chaos Spirit series can MP drain your shit up to death.
Brainwash makes you unequip a piece of your equips.
Other debuffs can usually be resisted if you've got enough resistance anyway, so there's that.

Pointless... is a matter of perspective. MA grows a lot slower, but there a feats to give it dim, crit piercing, and even an ether disease for cut damage. So, it can hold it's own in mid-late game. It's only really left behind in the power gaming phase.

It has 3 main flaws:
1) it'll grow slower at the start.

2) Weapons are muuuch stronger in general. +x enchants scale up to 1000 or 9999 depending on version, and boost the multiplier by a ton. You can also get damage enchantments that scale all the way up to 2G if you invest enough into getting there. Combined with violence for tons of base damage, late game weapon skills are crazy op. However, the damage cap is still 20m, so this is less impressive than it sounds.

3) except for multi-attacks. Unlike in + MA only gets 2 hits. With warmage's enchant you can get all the elements + physical damage 2 times. Weapons get up to 8 with the right titles, and you can have 2+ depending on if you want to be a mutant or not. So, even though they are both capped at 20m a hit, weapons can hit far more. Guns/crossbows take it to an extreme with burst ammo. They can also get ~8 base hits using either rapid fire (guns), or skill based extra attacks (crossbows)

However, outside of bonus bosses and custom npcs, almost nothing has more than 2M HP anyway.

I'd settle for a Custom-G gameplay tweak that makes magic training give +100% potential (like skill training) rather than spell level.

I was originally just replacing the gun/laser sound effects since i play ranged, but ended up replacing more, and realized there's a lack of sound effect replacement packs.
So here's a small sound replacement pack. It doesn't replace everything, just a few sounds I felt could be better, mostly combat sounds to make combat a bit more satisfying to the ears:

Because you're using skins, that default to scale material.
And scale material gives fire resistance to equipment.
That the big reason you should NEVER sell/throw away rubynis ore, you can make rubinus equipment out of it, training life when eating it.

So I started playing with Elona+ ages ago, and honestly I only understood how to interact with the world of the game (fighting, trading, drink/eat/use, moving around the map, using deeds, putting points into skill/feat/spell... etc) but I still haven't got a firm grasp about most stuffs yet. For example I still don't know jackshit about what makes weapon A better or worse than weapon B, still haven't wrapped my head around PV and DV, still have no idea what to do with pets, and then I dropped the game before I really started trying to understand it.
So with that in mind, should I try the game again with E+ or E+C? Which one is easier for a complete newbie to quickly access all the contents available (less grindy I guess)?

Well... It depends.
+c is stuck in an older version, but it' translated.
+ is 9 versions ahead, and has faster progression, but much into act 2 and you won't be able to understand any quests or new npcs. It gets better near the end of act 3 and beyond though, as ano started to make an attempt at english.

Redownloaded custom g and then played with the music files more but it will only ever play shit from the sounds folder, never from the music folder under /user, and only the sounds thst were already under the sounds folder. It wont play them when I copy the music list and the new music into the sounds folder either. Genuinely unsure what the fuck is going on. From what I can tell the files in 1.99 are of the same kind of structure as the ones in 1.90.4.2, but only the ones in 1.99 are working. I genuinely have no goddamn clue what's going on. Anyone else have this problem or know anything about it?

I'm sorry to keep bringing it up here but there is almost nothing on google that helps me.
