Summary:

- we start with flashback of Magsarion and Varhram. And it's what you would expect: Magsarion can't understand why his brother keeps fighting for everyone, nor why would belief in Varhram help them.
- so heroes are basically ideal guardians envisioned by all Ashavan to fight against Maou. Magsarion finds it stupid, because for him Varhram is nothing more than slave fulfilling wishes of "everyone". Also, since Varhram existence depends on the desires of others, heretics might disrupt this network or lead him in unfavourable direction. Ironically, it seems this "heretic" is Magsarion himself. This's also smth I've mentioned in the past - that Magsarion disbelief in his brother's strength caused him to lose against Khvarenah - I doubt it's so simple, but might be one of the factors.

- so in front of such fragile existence what Magsarion sought is "permanence". Way of life that never changes, since he doesn't know know concept of "everyone" he wishes to be alone (Hajun intensifies), but only in front of his brother his determination will sway.

- cut back to Quinn and Shotasarion and he doesn’t feel too well

- Shotasarion is gradually growing older. He’s at the age where he knows Varhram is dead, but still denies it, hoping he will come back. Quinn tells him to grow a pair and surpass his brother, that way he will overcome his shame.

Magsarion realises that his desire was to kill his brother, and Quinn is revulsed. Quinn was also terrified at the power emanating from him – saying that Khvarenah, Sirius, |ncest and even Magsarion until now can’t compare to it
- Magsarion is grateful to Quinn for helping him realize his own desire and even caresses her head. Quinn however doesn’t like it, comparing his gentle touch to blade on her neck and even describing him as “absolute and immutable muzan who transcends good and evil” – so yeah, Magsarion is more or less the Muzan we know from Saoshyant Desatir.

Magsarion now wants to collect “fragments” (it was said that Varhram’s heart is held by others) of his brother in order to feel his heartbeat
The dialogue states that it’s hard to tell if this’s awakening of hero or monster – but this’s Muzan after all

we cut back to Mashyana and Zurvan, it seems that duplication of Zurvan’s Commandment resulted in backlash because Mashyana is gradually rotting and collapsing. Nonetheless, Zurvan declares his love for her, telling Mashyana to go with him and take a dump on Avesta. This means that due to her Commandment, Mashyana must also answer with love – however, she thinks it would be insult for Zurvan who proudly doesn’t obey Avesta and without surpassing it her feelings are only illusion. And so she refuses – instead of obeying her Commandment and answering with love, she broke her Commandment and answered with hate and the result of this is the next part

Mashyana was thrown to the world of past, specifically after Mashyana (past one) ate Zurvan’s star body and he reincarnated as human. She finds Acchan there who explains situation to her. This Mashyana as a penalty of breaking her Commandment was changed into weak Ashavan and stripped of her power as Maou – naturally this’s result of Tentsui. She also mentions that white world is where you see world from the new perspective, maybe it’s outside of Avesta’s duality? Sounds suspiciously like singularity.

- anyway, Acchan asks what Mashyana’s (the one from time travel) name is and she answers |ncest. Yep, she was Mashyana all along sent into past by breaking her Commandment. |ncest/Mashyana speculates that this time travel/creation of 2nd Mashyana is the result of Mashyag responding to her feelings (conveying her love for Zuvan which was prevented by Zurvan’s own Commandment to not obey Avesta)

- the reason why Mashyana was corrupted is also the result of her Tentsui version, |ncest is her ideal and also death. So as long as |ncest exists Mashyana will collapse and she can’t kill |ncest at all – so speculation that she’s Mashyana’s Apoptosis wasn’t far from the truth, even if they’re not exactly the same concepts.

- |ncest memories from the time she was Maou were also erased and she only remembers Zurvan warning during his fight with Mashyana and because at that time |ncest did already exist she doesn’t remember anything from Mashyana’s perspective – it’s mindscrew but makes sense if you think about it.

- |ncest also speculates that this time loop might have already occurred many times – and this means each loop would increase the amount of universes by one (so…are we gonna ignore the fact that multiverse should be created by Satanel’s time fuckery?), although it’s apparently contradiction that cannot be defined, so maybe this multiverse is unstable or smth

- cut back to future |ncest after Mashyana broke her Commandment.

- she explains that her time travel is like a mechanism to keep order of the universe together, them meeting again means that Avesta was transcended and so world intervenes to correct this distortion by sending Mashyana into the past (so long they won’t meet the universe will continue as usual) – so world literally does everything to keep those two from bonding
this also explains why |ncest was keeping information from Zurvan, Quinn and others – so this simulation could go as usual, without any unnecessary distortions

- everything progressed well and |ncest became the only “Mashyana” on this time axist, her double already sent to the past, now |ncest can be with Zurvan, beyond this closed circle of time

ut back to Quinn and |ncest

- |ncest has sudden and terrifying realization – that Zurvan is not here, she (nor anyone for that matter) can remember him. And this realization causes her mental breakdown – Gayomart is regenerating, Mashyag on her finger is responding, her hair is once again black – she turns into Mashyana once again, crying that she doesn’t want it – all her struggle until now was futile. In utter despair she says she would rather be dead – and Magsarion answers it by killing her before she turns into Maou. As cruel as it might be, in this situation it could only be called salvation.

- cut back to Zurvan! He was watching this entire scene from up close, trying to intervene, but all of his efforts were futile. Zurvan became “non-person” (いない者), his entire existence erased from the universe, including all memories and records about him

- but there’s only one person who can still recognize him, indeed, we have first appearance of Mitra!

- they’re in different space, mandala of twill pattern of duality where every phenomenon and concept existed with its counterpart, white and black, blue and red, light and darkness, front and back, variety of colors that seem infinite yet not a single one exists on its own. It’s described as microcosm of the universe, representation of the world of dualism woven through super scale fabric – it’s safe to assume this’s landscape of her Throne. Even Mitra’s own voice is defined by this contradictory duality.

- she explains that Zurvan and Mashyana’s Tentsui is a bit special. Because Zurvan desires to exist beyond laws of the world, while living under them. Because Zurvan was so focused on equality, Mashyana wanted to become an ideal woman for Zurvan. Deciding to live Mashyana caused contradiction where Zurvan rebelled against Avesta (love for Maou), while at the same time preserved his own Commandment (stayed true to himself), this caused time loop to occur and while limited, he truly transcended Avesta’s law for which he earned praise from Mitra. She thought that |ncest will be unable to keep her Commandment (fulfill the ideal of Mashyana) and praised her for avoiding another Tentsui.

- Zurvan tries to use his Commandment against her, but ofc it does nothing, Mitra is Hadou God

- Zurvan admits defeat and ask Mitra to send him home, but she has some bad news for him. As a result of breaking his Commandment “Zurvan” will become Observer, seeing birth of all worlds, death of them and beyond, he will always remain himself, wandering through every era and never dying, always observing, but unable to intervene

- Zurvan and Mitra have a challenge, where Zurvan will have to prove that he’s not a toy of God and can intervene with his own will and thus, his lonely battle begins

- so….yeah, this part complicates things a lot. Because it would mean that Varuna doesn’t consciously create Observers, but it’s the result of Zurvan breaking his Commandment? Then what about Zurvan himself? After all, he existed before this event. The most logical explanation would be that Zurvan before breaking his Commandment was merely some random guy and only through breaking his Commandment he became Observer. There’s still many missing parts, but we will see.

- btw. Mitra mentioned every Adityas member beside Varuna, that’s pretty weird. She doesn’t remember him?

- cut back to Nadare! Where she’s described as “different black and white from Shinga (Mitra), but with the same kind of radiance” still no clue whether she’s Mitra’s Sensory, Apoptosis or smth else entirely

- anyway, she’s performing funeral dance for Mashyana with some weird sword that sounds suspiciously similar to this:

- yep, that’s the same weapon that Mitra was shown to wield.

- anyway, her dance causes, get this, to rearrange stars in the universe, changing their positions :lmao it works similar to teleportation, but she does so by rearranging stars in the universe so this’s not smth even star spirits can do

- and we’re reminded of her title, “Fractured World” Nadare – oldest Demon Lord who can collapse the world, her mere movement changing the layout of the universe…damn, who the fuck is she?

- apparently she did the same thing 20 years ago – which means she probably caused Khvarenah to collide with Vahman Yasht

- and this time she has gathered all Maou and Vahman Yasht into the same place, yep, including Khvarenah – surprisingly (or not?) still no mention about Aka Manah

- she wishes luck to Sirius, Kaikhosru and Khvarenah – I guess she low-key confirms that Khvarenah has Hadou too?

- as such we’re beginning the final decisive battle…and we’re only at the end of 2nd volume

Xvaetvatha:
Mashyana's Commandment. In exchange for the binding of "Returning all thoughts/feelings from other people pointed towards oneself with thoughts/feelings of the same nature and quantity", she gains "Perfectly reflecting the opponent's attacks" as a boon. That is, an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth. She works through the logic of a mirror, if hated, she'll hate, if struck, she'll strike.

Mashyana, who has the "fear of loneliness" at her ego's foundation, craves for her soul's matching pair, what could be said to be half of her own body. Therefore, in order not to have a one sided, empty connection to other people, she imposed a mirror-like way of being onto herself. However, the standards for the earnestness she wishes for in a partner are extremely high, if said partner doesn't have thoughts/feelings on the level of "Only seeing her alone in the entire world", she'd deem them fickle and impure. Such people "do not look at me fully", therefore, "I too need not oppose them fully".

Following the above reasoning, Mashyana's perfect reflection misfires in most cases. In those cases, she will perform quite an ordinary act of retribution, that is, it will degradate to the form of an ordinary counterattack. In fact, this Commandment's established target is Zurvan only. That is, it is an extremely limited power, for the exclusive use at the time of fighting Zurvan.

Due its special characteristic of perfect reflection, once activated, Mashyana won't be able to fling back more power than originally applied, but she doesn't care about that in the slightest. What she desired was her rendezvous with Zurvan only. Stuff like strength or victory are totally inconsequential, she's satisfied if she can simply establish infallible intimacy with Zurvan.

Denkard Aeon:
Zurvan's Commandment. In exchange from the binding of "Purposefully not possessing a Commandment", he gains "Nullification of the power of others" as a boon. That is, he has sworn not to abide by the world's Law, thus being able to render power that is under the auspices of said Law redundant.

In this story's world, in which every life, almost without exception, continue fighting with blind devotion and without question, in accordance with their Avesta, Zurvan has imposed such a way of life upon himself, a philosophy defined by the determination of thinking using his own head.

In fact, although he belongs to Wahman Yast as a Yazata, he only does what he wants to do. To an outsider, he might look like a wild, irresponsible man, however, as an independent human being, he abides by no one, nothing binds him, as he holds the belief that he's the master of his own fate. That is the reasoning behind his high assessment of Magsarion, it seems he sees in the chaotic Wicked Yazata the ideal form of an alien element to the world.

The cause of Zurvan coming to hold the above mentioned sense of values is his remorse over having lied to Mashyana about his true opinion in the past, the feeling of shame over having played the part of a puppet for Avesta while having held doubt about Avesta in the first place. And because of that, this Commandment will only show its maximum efficacy when squaring off against Mashyana, against other opponents and situation it becomes degradated, as it pretty uneven. That is, it could be said that it is mostly a power that is limited to being used exclusively against Mashyana.

Mashyag:
A daemonic item created by Khvarenah, currently in Mashyana's possession. Its effects are the reproduction of all things, be they matter, phenomena or concepts, activated via receiving the strong wishes of its user.

However, although they are called reproductions, they are not perfect copies, rather, they always have one side to them that is definately different from the original. This distinction manifests in a form similar to that of opposing yet complementary dual cosmic forces, in a relationship mirroring that of the original man and woman.

Furthermore, since it uses strong emotions as nourishment, as said above, the way to use the Mashyag is limited for each user. Using Mashyana as an example, she can only reproduce things related to her and Zurvan, in short, she can only use it in relation to her most important thing. Thus, all reproductions created by the Mashyag will vanish upon its destruction, Zurvan is the only exception to this, because he is independent through his unique Commandment.

Archdemon Mashyana:
One of the Seven Absolute Evils existing in this world. Bearing the alternate name of Immobile Impurity, she's the malevolent Star Spirit ruling over Druj Nasu.

She gained a self/Ego 30 years before this story's beginning and, approximately at that very same time, she obtained the Mashyag and created Zurvan through its use. Since, she wished to carry on with her life long marriage to her dearest man, acting in accordance to that, and as a result she intentionally broke her Commandment, thus underwent Tentsui.

The form in which she received said punishment, or possibly blessing, was i*c*st. She is another Mashyana, flung into the world of 13 years ago after having become an Ashavan of the weakest level, as well as having gone back in time. That is, at the time of the story, two of herself exist at the same time. The putrefaction that possesses Druj Nasu's Star Body is due to nothing else but the situation of the 5th Rank Archdemon's death being determined, as long as i*c*st exists.

Mashyana, having become an Ashavan through Tentsui, now wishes to answer Zurvan's feelings this time around. She dreams of living together, of realizing their love with true meaning. However, she couldn't recognize neither the form nor voice of Zurvan, who she had met again, and what awaited beyond trying to overcome her pain was nothing but further despair. "Kill me"... she, who said this in her last moments, dissappeared into the sky, having been unable to accomplish anything.

Time Travel:
Just like it is mentioned above, Mashyana, who had become i*c*st, went back in time, giving birth to the situation in which the same person existed several times within the same time. This was nothing but a contradiction of the highest degree, a deed which was equal to increasing the quantity of universes, thus summoning forth the collapse of all of Creation: what's commonly known as a time paradox.

This was a situation born of three irregularities: the Mashyag's power, Mashyana's feelings, and Zurvan's Commandment, it wasn't within the intentions of Shinga, the executioner of Tentsui. Thanks to Shinga wishing to correct this dangerous contradiction, i*c*st was unable to recognize Zurvan. The contradiction is prevented through treating the person in the maelstrom as being a "nonexistent person", and in that sense, Time Travel is not properly accomplished. But as i*c*st and the others wish to overcome the universe's Law for the sake of the ideals they aim at, Shinga's kamui was defeated.

Nevertheless, the concept of "exceeding time" that was brought about here gave birth to one possibility in the next world, however, that's also a different story.

Xvaetvatha:
i*c*st's Commandment. In exchange for the binding of "Granting the truth of Mashyana", she gets "Possessing a suicidal attack ability against Mashyana" as a boon. That is, the wish of wanting to live together with Zurvan. By continuing to embody her real desires, which became the cause of her Tentsui, i*c*st becomes able to negate the Mashyana who exists as an Archdemon.

The very existence of i*c*st is the 5th Rank Archdemon's death. That is, she's her desired ideal form, and therefore, she is capable of overwhelming Mashyana while rendering the difference in their power completely irrelevant. Reversely, she's rendered irrelevant for any other roles, however, she feels it's enough, as she stakes everything on being together with Zurvan.

Collapse:
Slang for Tentsui.

It's mainly a word used by high ranking Dragvant, beginning with the Archdemons, however, it seems that perhaps its etymology is for the express purpose of mocking Nadare, who's got an effective nose for Tentsui. Nadare aside, the other Archdemons do not grasp the law-like nature of Tentsui, and Wahman Yast has the same degree of awareness that they do.

However, now, the truth has been revealed. Tentsui is a punishment for purposefully breaking one's Commandment. A blessing-like curse brought about through the Sin of completely denying one's existence till that point, thus changing into a different thing altogether.

Meta info:

- Varhram symbolizes the world which would continue after death of Hero (from fantasy perspective) and whether he’s subjugated by wishes of others or he leads them out of his own will (more about this below). Masada points two questions: what factor caused the tragedy of the hero? Is his story already finished? So yeah, I doubt it’s the end of Varhram.
- Nahid symbolizes the heroine who lost her hero/protagonist and that something will change in her when she wakes up

>> No.24190056

We start volume 3 with interlude, called Collapse. But it's pretty damn long and it's entirely Varhram's flashbacks so can't really complain:

- Seven Demon Lords are personally chosen by Mitra, not because of their strength. Now, you could argue that Mitra is choosing only the strongest Daeva, but that's not definitely case with her preferences. She's aiming for "thrilling characters" so strength isn't one of the criteria. I'm saying this because this kinda fucks up with powerscaling. We can't just powerscale star system Zarchie to other Maou. Even so, I like how meta Mitra is here.
- that's the case with Bushyasta, special-class Daeva with power to match Maou, star spirit and as old as Nadare at that (I guess this kinda ruins my simple theory that Nadare was a source of Dragvant), but Mitra deemed her too boring.
- mainly because Bushyasta is crystalized concept of sloth and just doesn't give a fuck
- Bushyasta is called "Nightmare Goddess" by people on her star, because she's sleeping most of the time and her dreams are actually her authority, embodied and lethal to others. Creating countless monsters, turning water into poison, day and night which last for dozens of years, babies born as disgusting creatures, etc. Just think of her star as Daemon World from Wh40k

- there's only one way for people to get some rest and that's the "Day of Awakening" - which comes once every 50 years. Due to laziness of Bushyasta she doesn't take any anction when she's awake.
- however, she would shortly after sleep once again so people found strategy to prevent her from going to the world of dreams and that's human sacrifice. So they "feed" her beautiful women and great men from all over the star, hoping she will stay awake if she's comforted. It certaintly helps that her vow is to "not refuse what was given".
- naturally, there were hoping sacrificed people could kill Bushyasta and if not, at least last long enough before she could go to sleep once again
- as one would expect it didn't go too well, she's no different in power from Maou and torture she inflicts on those sacrificed is beyond human imagination. Nightmares which assault entire star are concentrated on 100 people and this torture can last from ten days to half a year. For more than 2000 years this cycle has been repeated.
- in one such cycle, small boy volunteered to be the sacrifice, and he wasn't afraid in the slightest
- so they've send him and few other boys to comfort evil star spirit, not really expecting much
- much to everyone's surprise, since that day nightmares haven't resumed for few years and light of hope started to burn in their chests
- after five years they decide to make frontal attack against Bushyasta, knowing that her common goal is rebelling against authority of star spirit
- their cry of rebellion actually summoned army of Yazata to fight alongside them, but after reaching her temple they saw something unbelievable - Bushyasta was already dead and defeated, by a single boy who greeted them with smile.
- needless to say, this boy was Varhram - fighting Bushyasta for 5 years and ultimately defeating her at the age of 15. Not a result of his strength, but courage and tenacity.
- from that moment people of Vahman Yasht saw him as their savior

>> No.24190065

>>24190056
here his vow is finally revealed, it's to WIN against regardless of his opponent and situation. Yeah, it's as absurd as it sounds. This's not like the case with Bhavan who just has to fight anyone, Varhram must actually win every time he's fighting. But I guess, this doesn't force him to fight at all...but since this's Ahura Mazda, world of eternal conflict, it's not like he can decline fight.
- it was said that for his every victory he receives "wing". Probably Wohu Manah's feathers, but it could also mean that his bonds with fellow Ashavan grow stronger
- and like previously stated, collective belief in Varhram actually makes him stronger (although it wasn't stated it's his Commandment). But this raises a question what Varhram thought while being exposed to "everyone's prayer"? Is he the one who created this flow? Or is he just tossed around by their will? It's similiar to chicken or egg paradox.
- Mitra actually spoke to Varhram about his ambiguity and she said that in society people who gain a lot of support and trust are divided into 2 categories: person who understand everyone's ideals and aims and their realization and person who act on their own and influence others around. Those who are dyed and those who dye. This sounds awfully similiar to Hadou, at least the 2nd category.
- ...or is she actually speaking to Varhram? For some reason the name(?) of the person she's talking to is censored ■■. I assume this's the same name/concept Mashyana mentioned during her fight with Quinn. The easiest answer would be brave/hero (勇者), but it kinda doesn't make sense why it would be censored in the first place so I don't think it's that after all.
- anyway, ■■ that Ashavan are all in one and whether the path they take is of martyr (殉教) or Hadou (覇道) it's due to consensus of all Ashavan. So yeah, Hadou is mentioned once again, let's remember that Masada confirmed he doesn't use this word without significant meaning
- Mitra says that if Nadare heard that she would frown and hate his answer. Probably because it's definitely not Hadou? Hadou Taikyoku doesn't care about opinions of other people, it indiscriminately dyes everything without exception. And yes, Mitra is speaking about Nadare in 3rd person. Although I still won't rule out possibility that's her Sensory/Apoptosis/smth else.
- btw. here we have another mention of emotion Mitra is lacking, first mention in Saoshyant Desatir, but ■■ can't identify this emotion
- it seems Mitra is related to ■■ and hoping to see ■■ again.

So few more things to note here:

- no mention when Varhram got his Commandment, but probably during his fight with Bushyasta
- Varhram's parents were mentioned, but I doubt they will have any significant role. They were rather consent in sending their son to be tortured. Although I don't think they were bad, only just like all people very tired and without hope. We don't know what happened to them after death of Bushyasta. And yes, no mention of Magsarion at all.
- Varhram killed a star spirit. By rules of Avesta he should take Bushyasta’s power, authority of dreams. Now, there’s possibility he refused it just like Bhavan did, but unfortunately(?) I think he took it and it opens entire new landscape of possibilities: could Magsarion be created by Varhram’s dreams? Could he influence other Ashavan through these dreams? Could dreams that Quinn is occasionally seeing be his work? If yes, then why?

>> No.24190069

>>24190065
- we cut back to different perspective and this change might suggest that ■■ is Varhram after all, but I think it's red herring
- in fact, it's heavily implied we're observing it from Quinn's perspective (use of 私/first person narration that iirc was done only by her and tuning with other people's thoughts/memories) and she’s synchronizing with Varhram right now
- Quinn notices that Varhram is someone who doesn’t have negative thoughts at all and while it’s frightening for her he also has this firm stance of stability so she doesn’t mind
- there’s a brief mention of Sirius’ woman. Nothing much to say, but there was theory that Mama Quinn was Sirius’ wife, which would make Frederica Sirius’ daughter. I wouldn’t mind this because it would make Frederica more significant.
- Quinn had opportunity to observe Varhram interactions with Magsarion, but as you would expect, Shotasarion just kept calling his brother loser
- important thing to note here is that Quinn said that Magsarion desires to kill Varhram. This’s probably what was censored in the previous chapter, when Magsarion had his “awakening” and his answer that terrified Quinn. The reason he wants to kill Varhram is because he sees him as a symbol of “uncertainty” in the world (lead astray by “everyone”) and he wants to become “immutable” and what’s funny is that this’s probably Quinn’s fault. Because it seems Magsarion originally wanted to rebuild will of Varhram, but after Quinn made him realize (Druj Nasu events) that Varhram is dead and he should aim to surpass his brother, we got Magsarion we know and love(?); this’s running theme of remorse and clinging to past, if Quinn didn’t try to preserve Shotasarion’s existence Muzan probably wouldn’t awaken
- Quinn notes that relationship of Varhram and Nahid is closer to that of siblings than lovers, hint at mysterious woman he made contract with?
- Varhram and Nahid have a little discussion as to why he didn’t kill Munsarath. Not gonna, lie Nahid is giving me bad vibes here. She’s clearly silencing Varhram from speaking about smth that he and Sirius apparently did. We don’t know what is it, but it appears to be very importamt. She also doesn’t seem to know what Varhram’s Commandment is as she asks him if it’s true his power can realize victory and if that’s a case what’s her victory.
- Quinn wonders about Varhram’s idea of victory – that it isn’t near and they should look at bigger picture, but she intuitively knows his point of view is ahead of everyone else…I think we should remember that. Masada is clearly hinting at something.
- and we cut back to that fateful day, the end of hero

>> No.24190077

>>24190069
first of all, we have definitive confirmation that Nadare was the one who send Pacman to Vahman Yasht, which naturally surprising for them because there were expecting Bhavan
- also, it is implied that Khvarenah can sense Tentsui (but it seems he doesn’t know it like Nadare, but only deduces it from previous encounters – he’s certain that Vahman Yasht’s Ashavan will Collapse here). Speaking of which, Khavrenah and Nadare relationship seems pretty good. He doesn’t give a fuck she teleported him, and he says that after “Collapse” (Tentsui) he will do as he please
- we also have more information about his enormous scale, countless eyes cover his body and each is the size of the Sun. He and Saurva don’t even have to do anything to wreck Vahman Yasht, just by being near it the star is fucked up…and that’s only because due to Nahid’s star spirits suppressing his influence, otherwise Vahman Yasht would crumble into dust in few seconds. So pretty impressive of her.
- still, Yazata don’t give up which is incomprehensible for someone like Pacman, who is perceiving world through pure logic and numbers
- Varhram says he will teach him about miracles, but in exchange, he will let other people go
- Varhram was able to push Khvarenah and hurt him a little and he admits that hero is a threat, but gradually collapsing star and dying Yazata make Varhram weaker
- Khvarenah says that if Vahram is robbed of “everyone” he will become worthless – I don’t think it’s allusion towards Paralost, but still worth to note
- now here’s some weird stuff, Varhram also mentions about smth Khaverenah has forgot about and it’s something he already had – and Varhram says it’s her and kisses his sword, or rather, Quinn. Yes, Varhram’s sword is Quinn and she’s as surprised as we are. She shouldn’t exist in that age, but is clearly aware of herself. Indeed, it appears that not only she was in tune with different person from Varhram and that this dream she’s seeing is not someone’s memory. Varhram is glad to see her and says he will get true victory one day and also calls her ■■. It’s pretty weird, but it seems that Quinn was originally this sword, then was she devoured/imitated by Khvarenah and created human Quinn? This’s pretty confusing, but it seems ■■ is Quinn and her identity is not simply creation of Pacman.
- Quinn’s awareness shifts to bird's-eye view and sees survivors who managed to escape, merely few thousand of Ashavan, all of them still believe Varhram is alive
- Nahid, Sirius, Ashavan and Quinn herself connect themselves to Wohu Manah to see what happened there and what they found there is, well,

That’s right, remaining Ashavan Collapsed, lynched and then hung Varhram on the cross, by people who he tried to protect. This sight irreversibly changed Sirius who saw fragility of duality and Magsarion, who could no longer kill Varhram in the madness of curse and remorse.

>> No.24190082

Few more things to note:

- Varhram’s “final stand” doesn’t really give me impression of someone who lost everything, but rather someone who still believes in victory. I have really strong flashbacks of Karuma from Bansenjin – character who is treating his own death as a stepping stone for victory
- this interlude kinds shakes up the most most popular theory that Aka Manach is Tentsui’d Varhram – still not impossible, but Aka Manach being Sirius’ “dark side” doesn’t sound so crazy right now. Heck, what if it’s Nahid? It would explain why she couldn’t attend Gathas, because her time is stopped and all external influence on her is pointless (which would also explain why other Ashavan don’t see her as Dragvant). Also, Kaikhosru working with Sirius (IF they’re working) could be explained by him trying to get closer to Nahid/Aka Manach who he described as his joker. It’s a bit far-fetched, but I doubt Aka Manach is a brand new character and is most likely related to someone we already know (kanji of Jahi being similar to Vahmant Yasht’s kanji is also a clue and so is the fact his/her territory is above Vahman Yasht) and the reason why is there no information about his activity is the fact Nahid is sleeping right now

if it indeed turns out Quinn's the sword some fucking how, the theories people had since Avesta's beginning were basically right. Only piece we were missing is that the sword Muzan carries already existed, and it was Varhram's. Chapter 2 really threw us out of the loop, when it spoke of a "sword" made by Khvarenah they'd have to wait for. Though maybe they had that objetive in mind cause they were thinking of Varhram's sword.

The kiss implies it was Quinn who was really Varhram's lover though, or at least her past life. This even hints at a connection with that mysterious woman, and offers reasons why Quinn could look at those memories. If this is the case, then Quinn's totally irrational feelings towards Magsarion could be explained away, if he's a "second coming of Varhram" in a more literal sense. Like, come on, dude's being hinted to basically be connected to anija on a more fundamental level since the Gaiden.

From NarutoForums:

Some interesting stuff in in Glossary (19)

- Bushyasta is the first enemy Varhram defeated and it's she who provided guide to his life
- although she was unaware of it her star was great for cultivating high-level heroes, Nadare, Mitra and another person were aware of this. Hooo boy, not only Nadare=Mitra theory is looking weird right now, but we probably have another player to shake things up. Wonder who that is, Sirius maybe?
- Varhram's Commandment is Saoshyant Desatir - his vow is to "win regardless of situation" and its effect is to "add strength and ability of defeated enemy to himself". It's a power which embodies concept of winner and as such he can take power of the loser. Here's a thing, Varhram can take even Commandments. Because deprived Commandments take shape suitable for him they don't collide with each other like in Multiple Commandments case (see Tarvid/Zarchiede). However, even he himself doesn't know what shape it will take in his hands so it's possible they can't be used at his will or will be even disposable.
Also, intention of others is merely premise for him. In a world where war itself became a law Varhram possessed extraodrinary spirit where he thought about "post-victory".
Furtermore as a representative of Ashavan, Varhram will be further strengthened. Turning him into genuine superhuman.
- Day of Collapse - event where Vashman Yasht was destroyed by Khvarenah. Although it was orchestrated by Nadare if her purpose was to simply overthrow Varhram and destroy "good" she would gather all Maou, including her. The fact she didn't do so means that fight of Varhram and Khvarenah itself was meaningful. While truth is unknown, it resulted in the fall of hero. At that time, large scale Tentsui occured and hundreds of millions have collapsed. Reason for that is also unknown. However considering most of them were mere Ashavan who couldn't read Avesta too deeply (as in, can't use Commandments) it's fundamentally different from Mashyana's Tentsui who broke her Commandment. In addition, all these collapsed Ashavan were eaten by Khvarenah and eventually died.

>Bushyasta:
>Star Spirit feared as a goddess of nightmares, as well as a powerful Daeva belonging to the class of the "oldest". She is the first enemy defeated by Varhram, and also an existence that has granted a guideline to his life. Though Bushyasta herself wasn't aware of this, her planet met the requiriments to nurture the existence called "Hero" in extremely high levels. Those who were aware of this were Nadare and Shinga, as well as another person...

>Saoshyant Desatir:
>Varhram's Commandment. In exchange for the binding of "Always achieving victory against his enemies", he gets "Being able to add his defeated enemies' strength and special abilities to himself" as a boon. That is, the more powerful the enemies Varhram defeats are, the faster he'll grow stronger. So to speak, because it is a Commandment that embodies the concept of the "victor", then as a natural privilege, it is possible for him to make the vanquished's weapons and power his own.

>Unlike the more typical technique of taking a defeated Star Spirit's authority only, Varhram can also go as far as taking over other people's Commandments. Moreover, because they get arranged in a form that corresponds to him, they are integrated into the great original binding of "Always achieving victory", so it doesn't become a Multiple Commandments scenario. That is, this too is also a privilege of the victor.

>As a weakness, how they'll change from their original forms is something that not even Varhram himself can possibly predict, as there will be those will be rendered useless arbitrarily, or those that become disposable. However, even while bearing that in mind, the reality of this being an extraordinary Commandment doesn't change, and all could be said to be due to Varhram's unique point of view.

>Usually, Commandments are means used in order to achieve victory, however, Varhram has established victory itself as his binding. In short, what's an objective to others doesn't go beyond being a premise to Varhram, who thinks about "what comes after achieving victory" in this world in which war has become law, thus, it is obvious that the level of his consciousness is very much different.

>In addition to this, when taking into account that he gets strengthened even further as the representative of Good Will, obviously there's no objection to calling him an overman.

>Day of Collapse:
>Incident in which Wahman Yast was annihilated due to Khvarenah's invasion, 20 years ago.

>The mastermind behind it was Nadare, however, if her objective were merely the defeat of the Hero and the extermination of Good, she would have gathered all of the Archdemons, included herself. However, seeing that she didn't do that, maybe Khvarenah and Varhram's confronting each other held some kind of meaning. While the truth is still unknown, its result was the defeat of the Hero.

>At this time, a large scale Tentsui, involving several hundreds of millions of Ashavan, ensued, and the reason for it is likewise unknown. However, taking into account that almost all of them were ordinary people who couldn't read deep into Avesta, this phenomenon ought to be considered fundamentally different, in terms of the category it belongs to, to a Tentsui brought about by breaking one's Commandment, akin to the one Mashyana suffered. Furthermore, Khvarenah devoured all of the originally Ashavan individuals who fell here, so in the end, none of them lived to tell the tale.

The way it worked in Paralost really isn't that consistent with the current shinza lore, probably because it was written 16 years ago before everything was mapped out. Though in Saoshyant Desatir, it still says that he used parallel worlds and reversing time to get rid of Muzan instead of fighting him head on. Pretty much Paralost's explanation just doesn't hold up anymore.
Paralost was basically
>Satanael is the reason why sin is in the world
>Rewrite the past so that Satanael was never born
>if Satanael never existed neither would sin
>However as the creator of that world, Satanael becomes "god" and ascends to Keter, the throne

People were not going in blind to some details about KKK, like it being related to Hajun, for example. The true surprise was it being "Dies irae 2" (this is a legit nickname for it) rather than being pretty disconnected like Paralost, or Avesta so far.

I think you're behind on a lot of things. The observers, essentially the Shirous, are the result of Zurvan breaking his commandment and the punishment he received from Shinga was to eternally reincarnate so that he may witness everything.
If you're on about the Naraka, things are really vague on that part. They dont seem like they can interact with the actual world directly which might be why they sent Zurvan in the first place, Hajun was a massive threat that they couldn't do about directly either. There are still functions about the throne that we don't even know. For example, Takamagahara itself is the throne in Pantheon but the 8 Hadou gods are stuck in the deep throne.

Zurvan was Varuna meat puppet, what was is original role? Who knows but Mitra was talking to him through Zurvan.
It's true that the Observers role was one given to him by Mitra for breaking his Commadment, something she "omitted" to inform the others Gods.

What "Dies irae IP" are you talking about? The IP wasn't ever called Dies irae, but Shinza Banshou post Akebono no Hikari. At the time of KKK's release, it was called Kami-sama series, and KKK was marketed under that. It just happened that fans expected it to be as related to Dies irae as the latter is related to Paradise Lost: just another Throne set in this wider universe, but otherwise self contained as a story.

Masada chose to make KKK into a game so connected to Dies irae because of the latter's popularity and his own feelings towards it. Otherwise, its plot would have been really different. According to the released details of the original KKK script, protagonist was going to be Kujou Okitsugu, who in the final release ended up being Shiori's little brother, who had a stealth based powerset.

So yeah, you can imagine how different the game was in its initial stages just from that detail alone.

POINTLESS SPECULATION: since 7th Heaven is an analogue to the sun goddess Amaterasu, 8th Heaven will end up being an analogue to the archer Hou Yi who shot down the sun birds and will make a world based on Taoism and Chinese folk mythology. This also ties into Chinese sun birds being mythologically related to Amaterasu's crow messenger Yatagarasu.

It was Nadare, conveying her feelings towards her friend in sorrow, while she performs a sword dance all by herself within Singularity Angra Mainyu. She was holding a strange sword. Its length was equal to that of a spear, its handle was in the center, and from both of its sides, a blade stretched. - we start with Khvarenah's flashback/dream. We learn that in the past he was revered as God, which didn't make sense for him because he can only bring ruin
- Khvarenah didn't really think about his concept of self...at least not until his fight with Varhram, since that day he thought about his past and what he forgot
- it appears that Khvarenah has Hadou, in the past when he was revered as God he even had craving ■■■在りたい, yep it's censored too. However, it seems this(it's not outright confirmed, but implied) craving somehow became source of Collapse and from that day "minna's miracle" (Khvarenah) became Maou.
- Khvarenah wakes up and he already forgot about this dream. We learn that his astral body is "holding the truth" is inside his star body "which governs the reason" and these two can never intersect (star body was born by Khvarenah forgetting his astral body).
- Khvarenah thoughts are interrupted by...Bhavan!
- ofc meeting with locust means only one thing - fight is unavoidable.
- Bhavan naturally evolved from their last fight and Khvarenah can no longer BFR him like in the past. Currently, only Gathas can forcibly move Bhavan and not even Nadare can teleport his if he defies it (let's remember she can literally play billiard with galaxies)
- and the fight starts
- Khvarenah actually opens it with name of his authority, it's called Vishvakarman

Strangely, it's written with hiragana, not katakana. It's authority but also creation ability related to his Commandment. Because it can create even things that defy Avesta (like Mashyag) it can be said that Khvarenah has reached domain of Gods. Even then he doesn't remember its true purpose and thus, his true power remains unknown. It's related to "immutable existence" Varhram told him about and concept of "minna".
- anyway, Saurva have opened hundreds of millions of their eyes and from there emerged same number of cannons that could swallow stars only through the size of caliber. And they all shoot at Bhavan with tsunami of flames, freezing torrent, lightning storms, deadly viruses, light that can destroy space itself, etc. There are even attacks that cannon be defined by the current civilization. Each one of these can destroy star system.
- Bhavan doesn't give a shit. He scattered all of these with one punch (losed only 5 fingers) and attacks Khvarenah with giant fist (as in, "punching star" giant) woven of Garyoku. This forces Khvarenah back just a little bit (let's remember this guy is the size of hypergiant star), but Pacman just tries to analyze him to take the best course of action.
- according to Khvarenah, Bhavan's strengthening is a relative phenomenon, the more he's cornered the stronger he becomes, so Khvarenah decides to gradually overcome him rather than attack with full power
- and it's working in other way too, because everything eaten by Khvarenah is converted into power which then gives him boost in power
- their fight continues. Bhavan split Khvarenah with his fist into 3 parts, but Khvarenah stuck him with his tongue and supergravity squeezed out blood from his whole body
- while they fight Khvarenah still wonders about his past, concepts of "minna" and miracle and even asks Bhavan to him what is something immutable to him. Bhavan answers it's his strength (ofc). Khvarenah feels disappointment and envy, because he knows Bhavan answer won't help him regain his memory, but he doesn't have determination that locust possesses. So Khvarenah decides to eat Bhavan, thinking it will help him to evolve and does some cryptic chant. Which can either symbolize future of hope or end in despair.
- at the end there are some cryptic words that fight of Khvarenah and Bhavan actually saved some people, at least until this fight is decided.
- we cut back to Quinn on Druj Nasu (btw. Acchan became its new star spirit so I guess Magsarion refused Mashyana's power? it's pretty handwaved desu)
- Quinn teleported back to Vahman Yasht and it's during this transition time she saw events of Interlude summarized above.
- based on this knowledge Quinn wonders who exactly is she and how she was able to see these events without tuning with Varhram - she concludes that she must be gestalt of "minna's prayer" and is literally part of Varhram. I wonder if the sword is somehow conduit for it? Also, worth to note it's only speculation of Quinn.
- Quinn reached Vahman Yasht and noticed that Feldows is different (due to his 2nd Commandment) but is more concerned about Samrukh who is at the death's door
- but Magsarion gives her Mashyag, saying it chose her. Ring responds to her wishes and reproduces Magsarion's armor, encasing her with it. This armor made her pain disappear, but Magsarion says the fact she's almost dead doesn't change. And briefly mentions that function of his own armor is different.

- first we have few more details about Nadare's Houkai - if you compare universe to a living body then her star relocation can be compared to rearranging internal organs and disrupting blood flow. So in a way, her ability is truly the one which brings forth chaos (reference to the chapter's title, Imminent Chaos). I'm rather curious how Mitra reacted to this, universe is her body after all.
- her manipulation caused orbits of Vahman Yasht and Zahhak to collide, but instad the merge together in the shape of gourd. This's not rare occurence, but one that symbolizes star spirits "holding their hands". However, because these respective stars belong to apex of good and evil respectively, it's a phenomenon that surpasses Nadare's Houkai in a sense. Even though Zahhak seems superior to Vahman Yasht, they're now in equal position.
- we cut to Vahman Yasht where Quinn, Sirius and the others prepare to meet with Kaikhosru
- we're introduced to the 3rd Seat of Vahman Yasht's Twelve Lords, Amdaria Touran - you don't have to remember him because he will die in this chapter
- Touran tells a bit about Roshan's backstory - or rather her "grandmother", Roshan Shahrnaz - yes, the same name as Roshan. Backstory itself doesn't seem that important other than that Roshan inherited Sharhrnaz House and title as one of the Twelve Lords - and yeah, she definitely contributed to their deaths
- Vahman Yasht and Zahhak merging resulted in creation of land that doesn't belong to either side, akin to national border
- and then...DUM DUM DUM...Roshan turns out to be Ryuugyoku Princess! Let's pretend to be surprised. And as we predicted, she appears to have the same kind of Commandment as Alma - twisting perception of Avesta. She reveals to Touran that Shahrnaz House was nothing more than dollhouse for her.
- Touran tries to insult her, but Kaikhosru changes him into quartz and scatters him on the ground with a single word. They're now in the neutral ground so Kaikhosru shouldn't use his authority, but it seems as long he's facing his opponent directly he can do that. I like how no one gives a fuck about Touran.
- Kaikhosru asks Sirius if this alliance (and yes, they have alliance if that wasn't clear until now) is fair considering there's only 17 people on Vahman Yasht side and 18 on Zahhak side.
- but Sirius says Roshan is wild bitch and shouldn't be counted on either side
- so the meeting officially begins and we first learn that their mission to assassinate Kaikhosru was a farce to show him how useful they can be. Alma has even worse, she was merely an offering to Kaikhosru.
- the purpose of this alliance is to destroy subsequently Khvarenah, Nadare and finally Avesta (Mitra) itself
- then Sirius has pretty passionate speech about his determination/craving, he says that after witnessing end of Varhram he realized this world is fucked-up and he must overthrow world (god) itself to attain complete victory. Man, I want to see his face when he realizes that most of it was foreseen by Varhram. Anyway, his speech is very Muzan-like and he even declares himself to be Muzan muki. Intensity of these emotions was once again described as Hadou, will of the king to conquer and repaint everything.
- from Kaikhosru point of view Bhavan has only 30% chance of winning against Khvarenah (it's still a lot if you ask me, wonder if Kaikhosru knows about Bhavan's 2nd Commandment), but depending on Quinn it can turn into 50%. What they're suggesting is that Quinn should teleport inside Khvarenah and destroy his astral body. He's clearly aware that it will set Saurva loose so I'm not sure what is he trying to do exactly. But even so he and Sirius are convinced of their victory.
- apparently Khvarenah is Nadare's favorite (this slightly surprised me because for Nadare everyone should be number one) and Kaikhosru doesn't rule out possibility that he has Hadou too
- Samrukh's memory loss is already progressing, she can't remember Quinn's name
- Sirius called Samrukh kenzoku of ■■
- amidst spicy discussion, Magsarion escaped
- あるいは未来においてすら、黒騎士の謎は不変のまま留まるのかもしれない。 "Perhaps even in the future, mystery of the black knight may remain unchanged" - now this's interesting, is Masada suggesting to us that truth of Magsarion won't be revealed? Or is it just a bait? Muzan being "composite being" made of multiple factors akin to Amaterasu was one of the popular theories so I wouldn't be surprised if truth of Magsarion won't see the light of day.
- Magsarion doesn't see Khvarenah as a cause of his brother's death, he's still convinced "everyone" is a true cause.
- all of sudden Magsarion is swallowed by tsunami of blood and transported to Baliga where he's greeted Frederica, Munsarat and all Satsujinki

Ok, so let me get something straight about how Ren and Machina were created. So after the gauntlet of malice ended and Michael won, Karl reassembled all the souls that participated in the battle in one soul with Michael as the core. Then later he split into two. One with the consciousness of Michael and the other with Lotus. Is that right? The explanation given in Kei's route is quite confusing.

>The whole Pantheon scenario, including its protagonist, is a long con by Mitra and/or, Magsarion, possibly without their knowledge or explicit intent, to bring back Vahram, the former of whom originally wanted him to replace her and the latter of whom wants a chance to finally kill him himself
Obviously if the story ultimately shows us Vahram actually being alive or coming back to life somehow, or Magsarion changing his desire to kill Vahram, or what Mitra actually wanted out of him, would throw this into the trash but it's all I got.
