Does anyone like panchinko here?

>tfw you will never be a mindless zombie shooting balls and watching exaggerated reach animations for hours while you smoke and drink, hoping you picked a machine that pays out well, and then taking the prizes you traded for balls to the secret booth at the back to cash out.

I tried it once in Shibuya. Lost about 2,000 Yen. It was ok.

I see plenty of twitter posts of people I follow being hyped about the next themed pachinko machine, making several 2 hours streaming with them just throwing their money away.
It's kinda creepy and sad, I understand that the main appeal is seeing exclusive cutscenes and whatever, but it feels like an insult towards a fan to create something like this.

When I was a kid, a long time ago, we visited a friend of my dad's and they had an old pachinko machine in their basement. I had loads of fun with it. That Christmas my parents got me a toy scale pachinko machine using plastic balls. I still have it, and it still works, though I lost some of the balls years ago.

I played it when i was 14(?) It was fun but id never play it again. It just doesnt feel like a proper game. Actually i think i played it a second time when i was 17 as well. It just sucks you in with flashy lights and shit. I played a nge and macross machine.

most of it is gambling and the high probability of making a profit. The music and effects from your favorite anime really add to that feeling of winning when you hit the jackpot. Looking for winning ques and premium scenes is just some autistic shit to do while you wait for the jackpot. The real challenge is hoping that you get renchan( multiple wins) so you can recoup all your investments.

>>24318690
Its more like a casual game where you don't have to think or do much other than adjusting the knob when it tells you to and knowing when to stop shooting to conserve balls. It's basically a skinner box. It ain't so different from playing a mmorpg where you're repeatedly killing the same mobs over and over again to pick up a super rare item except theres no setup and you're winning real money.

Im playing on simulators for now, and spent hours just waiting, watching the same scenes over and over (theres usually a 1/200~1/300 ratio of winning depending on the machine) then bang, the music/effects start going crazy and i hit the jackpot 3 hours later ive been waiting for with 20 renchans making triple or more than the investment i put in. Feels good.

Idk if id call it a casual game. Its gambling to the core. The first time i played i didnt know what it was so it was a novelty to try out. I know what youre talking about, the real ones are crazy loud and have moving shit. The eva one had a unit 01 that moved. Now that i think about it i think the macross one had some roulette mini game.

>secret booth
Most places simply give you special receipt with your winnings and all that shit on it. Then you go right across the fucking street and trade that in for the money on it. It's so fucking stupid.

Are there any places where you can trade the receipt at a soapland or something? It's not prostitution if it's a game prize.

>Idk if id call it a casual game. Its gambling to the core.
It's casual in the sense that it something one engages habitually and mindlessly. Gacha is often in a similar category.

It's kind of like how an alcoholic could consider cleaning off a twelve-pack over a day to be a very casual ordeal.
