We've known producers force VAs to sleep for roles for years and nobody does shit. One former VA exposed a big shot director (Akitaro Daichi). She said in order to get the role of Freesia in Jubei-chan 2 she was ordered by the agency to take a trip to an onsen with him (if you know what I mean), but she refused and was expelled from the industry. Nothing happened to him and he keeps directing anime.

I hate how I've started obsessing over va shit lately. Just now I caught myself watching Haruka's bday stream and I got depressed after I realized I'm watching a bunch of people hang out together. It's all about mentality. My life is admittedly bleak but still I find some comfort in the stability of being able to look to people having fun, growing in their careers, and enjoying themselves even if it's all done for show. "Friend simulator" is kind of a harsh term but there's some truth to the idea, you can follow seiyuu from a distance on your terms while still feeling some connection with them and fawning over them together with others. I think the whole fishing for replies on Twitter thing is really starved for attention but it comes from the same place. They probably don't keep VODs for copyright reasons. Recently a lot of western music labels started issuing DMCA strikes on popular streamers for using their music that now everyone is spooked and stopped playing copyrighted music. Could be for other reasons too but if they don't allow VODs then somebody would have had to record it live and then upload it somewhere.
