A sparking system is (finally) added. Like every other game, you need to do 300 single pulls to get the 5* you want and expires when the banner changes.

So if you want to max out a 5*, you would need 800 coins.

You can also earn "select coins" when you pull a 5* you already maxed out. They can be traded for a single copy of a 5* that's already in the regular dia scout box.

Rerolling is not worth it at all if you are metagaming, I would advise you spend your time getting yourself situated and getting stats up.
It isn't like the gacha's in /vg/ where you gotta pull like the SSS-tier god tier list characters to stand a chance.
I've basically punted most of the bosses up to VH with only A/S-rank styles to prove a point during the closed beta. So you getting the ball rolling with what you have is more important then anything.
White Rose is strong, but she can't carry your team entirely. Healers can only do so much thanks to 6LP limit unlike the FF gacha's.

I never said White Rose could carry a team but she's ridiculously useful. I don't doubt that A/S are good, and the most important thing is making sure you're grinding stats out. It seems more like that "proliferation of incorrect information" thing that happens sometimes when a group of people go at a game from the wrong angle. I don't think you should approach RSRS entirely like other mobile games. That and Eclipse (I don't know if anyone else here plays that) are definitely a lot better at letting you use who you like as long as it's the right set of characters for the fight you're doing.

If you really want to try it then maybe wait for the DMM version to release. Right now the current JP Google Play version of the game has very outdated mechanics compared to the KR server and they're planning to update JP when DMM gets rolling in a few months. I'm not sure if the DMM version will be censored or uncensored though. One DMM game, Kanpani Girls, has censored art for their Google Play version but the DMM browser version of the game has the original art. Maybe Last Origin will function the same way where the app version has censored and DMM version is uncensored.

A/S/SS styles are all different. You can't upgrade rarity. You gotta pull each individual styles later down the line.
So you will need to get Blue's SS style (which is farmable from Battle Festival) then his obtain his later SS Style from "Battle of Fates" event when it comes into the normal pool after the event ends.
F2P is such a cakewalk as long as you channel your /elona/-chad and start grinding autistically beyond godly comprehension. Here's a guide
