Yeah, in games that focus on preset groups, I also care more about individual characters first. My first impression of Shinymas was that my favourites would be all over the place too. In Enstar's case, seems a lot of people go crazy about compu of everyone in their unit though. No idea if they find their one favourite and the difference in volume for in and outside unit story stuff shoots up the others to the top or something.

In any case, HappyEle sure doesn't care about being subtle, huh. Shifting the focus from units alone is good, but the timing shows their jew like nothing else. Of course the first 5*'s unit that gets this treatment is Rabbits and they "balanced" it with a card from popular unit that "coincidentally" got the other gacha as well, can't not laugh at this. Popular Engirls also got their second after-renewal cards before the others got anything at all. The bias being this obvious is always sad, but I guess it's everywhere.

The sequels were less unique and all in all boring and unfun removing things from the original game alienating existing fans and not attracting new ones because of a lot of bad design choices. Here are some that I discovered:
1) Dupe systems exist in transcendence and it is the primary way to uncap the maximum character level which means dupe probably matters a lot in the game.
2) The existence of premium skins (called Fatecore), some of them are summonable but there are also some purchaseable only by the blue-looking paid-only currency in the store. At first glance, these skins not only boost stats but also boost/change the character original skills as well.
3) There is exclusive equipment for each character (just like in Kings Raid) and they cost 20k currency each which is a huge amount considering it is the same currency used to pull new character (700 for a 11x multi).

The game was literal garbage. Dull as fuck gameplay loop, boring events, practically just a port of the DS game with nicer graphics.

The game was in dev hell for years, and when they had a beta, the japs shit on it and gave them a list of about a million things to improve. the gameplay is supposed to be 'bullet hell' but the 'bullet hell' aspect is mostly irrelevant. You sort of have a massive hitbox and move very slowly on a joystick. It really depends on upgrading your characters, which translates to grind.
you can unlock the 3 main characters as you progress the main chapters. the commander is a special role only for these main characters, and each one has their own squad.
it also has a chibi room system ripped from honkai impact. probably literally so.
the mains and SSRs have live2d artwork which is nice to look at. all characters have some voice lines.

the gameplay being kinda boring, its a shame you can't auto or skip. you can let the AI control but you have to have a ticket to use that feature.
you just move around slowly dodging bullets and activate skill
I havent progressed far because its fairly time-consuming.

I never noticed differences in note visibility because it didn't matter much to me, but the note input area should be scaled. It won't be giant, there will be gaps between notes but it should fit the circle portrayed in the game which is big enough on a tablet. There was a Japanese tutorial on that I saw once but didn't save...
