Well, I'm in no hurries. I played the first game way back on PC when mirror moon patch came out, then played it twice on PSP which has an identical script to the new re-release just lacking the newest version of the gameplay, and also played the two sequels on PS3 twice so far.

I don't know how you guys can be excited to play the next Uta after the clusterfuck that was Uta 3. It being a remake had me not too interested in playing it from the start but after how they wrapped up the two new games I've washed my hands of that series forever.

Reunites after however many decades? And for how long would they be reunited? He got turned into an immortal being responsible for apparently everything and who now has to fix the entire world by himself then watch it until they make a new Uta game with the same ending again and someone takes his place. Kuon is going to spend most of her life chasing after him, and the rest of the heroines are either doing the same or just waiting in their house in hopes he comes by at some point, except the twins who I guess won the Hakubowl. They even pulled Uta 1's MC out of his mancave to see his family only to have Kuon not there because she's going to spend her life chasing her boyfriend, which made me laugh out loud.

Either have the MC actually die and have the general overarching character development theme be becoming independent and moving on (which it wasn't), or have his arc ending with him removing the mask symbolically and/or literally and letting him live with all his friends again, instead of the half assed dude what if the MC was jesus lmao ending we actually got that didn't resolve anyones character arc and didn't fit with anyones character development. You can tell the writer just wanted to do the same ending again so he forced it in. He has a character arc over the entire game about whether he will retain the person he used to be or lose it with the responsibility he took on, which is never realised because when you get to the end of the game the answer turns out to be 'neither, he becomes a god and leaves'

And that's all just the very ending, the entire game had been dragging itself down towards that ending with rushed plots and characters being sidelined. They had to fit in the obligatory JRPG final arc where you fight god and angels and sacrificed the rest of the game to do so. As I was nearing the ending of the game I was thinking they didn't handle the second half of the saga very well and then they just hit you with that clusterfuck of a last hour or so.

tl;dr I would not recommend the series

The entire third game was foreshadowing how Haku will have to make a choice between his life and using the mask at full power and Kuon will try everything to save him, including using her forbidden powers, which is pretty much what happened. Both Haku and Kuon went YOLO and then Haku went even further to save everyone by taking the god powers for himself.

The writer could have stopped right there and pulled an Utawarerumono 1 sad ending, but as a fanservice they made it pretty obvious this time that they meet again soon, and that Haku can appear in the physical world and can manipulate it so he can be with Kuon together in body, not just as a spirit like Hakuro and Eruru before. I don't think everything needs to be spelled out completely.

As for the character arcs and development, I guess the ending is that we have a Haku harem ending with every heroine eventually falling in love with him. I guess this is also for fanservice so that everyone can ship him with his favorite waifu.

I've actually got a ps tv with a homebrew but it's kind of shitty in the sense that the resolution can be whack and there's no way for me to use headphones, which is a killer

He doesn't make a choice between using the mask and dying to save someone or not using the mask and living, he just uses the mask and lives anyway since a literal deus ex machina made him a god, which is about the worst possible way to conclude that plotline. They make it clear Kuon and Haku will meet again, but they also make it clear that Haku isn't ever going to actually stay with her or any other heroine because he is constantly having to do god things. The epilogue scene where she dreams about him is about the closest they're going to get.

And you don't have a harem ending where anyone can be shipped with the MC because even though most of the heroines ended up falling in love with him, he doesn't end up with any of them. He doesn't even show himself to any of them but Kuon and that was in a dream. My problem with the ending isn't that they don't spell everything out, the ending isn't vague, it's just bad. The state of the cast by the end of the game is either their character was sidlined and they've done nothing new of note for the entire latter part of the game, or they've been forced into a role that doesn't fit with their previous character arc because of how rushed the latter part of the game was to force in the final arc and ending.

I found it fairly lame, it was just a rape game like Onegai Tasukete or Machigurumi no Wana. I prefer the exhibitionism of the others than the 'student is turned into a meat hole for anyone and everyone all day every day'.

And senshinkan inherits good things from both dies and KKK, so obviously it offers the most fulfilling experience of all Masada's works. Off the top of my head I can think of quite a few seiyuu that's done both censored and uncensored. Misonoo Mei, Anzu Mitsu, Aji Sanma, just for example. But there's also people like Ogura Yui who always switches to her Sakura Momoka alias for more nukige-esque (and therefore more likely to be uncensored) roles. Since you mentioned purple soft though, were Hotaru's lines censored in Amatsutsumi? That's under her Ogura Yui alias.
I would need to find a game where every seiyuu has done uncensored under that alias but is still censored in that particular game to show that the censorship is independent of their agency policies, but that's too much effort for something that might not exist. I think Onikiss fits that, maybe Onigyu too but I'm not sure about Akane's, I always found it weird these games were censored since I had heard most of the actresses do uncensored stuff often before.
I guess in the end it come to both sides, if the company wants to make an uncensored game they have to get actresses that are willing/allowed to do it, if the want an actress that only does censored stuff then they're willing to censor the whole thing even if the rest of the cast is ok with uncensored, and sometimes they just censor it themselves for whatever reason.

Just finished 13 Sentinels. I get why everyone who plays it shills it now. That was something special. Presentation, structure, direction. You could feel the time and love that went into every scene. Overall a great experience.
Cons were the epilogue sucked and some of the reveals towards the end were rushed with too much exposition. Also there were only maybe 3 good couples out of the what, 10? Entirely too much romance. Needed some stories centered around personal growth for the cast to be more memorable.

Hijiyama was the best. Hilarious route that got serious in all the right places and also the best romance. Minami a cute. I ended up really liking Tomi too.
The fixation on pairing everyone up definitely felt like the game's biggest weakness. Most of the climaxes are "x and y got together" or "x thing is revealed" meanwhile you rarely feel any emotional connection with the characters. It's a real shame when so many of the cast did manage to be likable but just lacked that bit more depth.
Jyuro and Megumi were the worst offenders. Not enough backstory of their past relationship to make you feel bad for Megumi and not enough of their current relationship to make Jyuro falling for her again convincing. I guess she does look good in an apron.

I went through about 100 theories while playing and just submitted myself to the ride at times so not many individual reveals shocked me. The one that got me the most was probably Okino and Morimura's connection, just because I'd casually thought "hey these two look similar" but wrote it off thanks to a lot of the sprites having sameface and the amount of white hair in the cast anyway. God dammit.

Yes, those are variations of the same scene, each different variation has the potential to unlock different branches. The branching system in Extravaganza is actually really cool seeing how drastically the story can change depending on what you do.

I've played enough visual novels to have a pretty good idea about how EGS tends to think about it. Happiness 1 vs 2 is a good example. There's not a huge difference between these games, same staff pretty much as well. Yet the second was rated way better.

This is probably one of the most "eroge" esque games you can play. Your goal is kinda getting the ero, and you gotta work for it. It's pretty old at this point, so expect characters to have weird time schedules, good and horrible minigames and so on. It's enjoyable for the overall experience, not so much the "story". Mostly fun characters as well. Gives you School Rumble vibes.

There's not much I can compare this to. The closest game I know is still quite different, Rance 01. Close in the sense, that you have to work for your ero, and it's (mostly) not coming for free. Gameplay, characters and whatnot are obviously working completely differently.

Finished reading Amane bad+true in 果てしなく青い.
The supernatural elements get more and more intense the further you get into the route and both endings are kind of deus ex machina.
Some characters (basically everyone else besides Amane) disappear during the route, but the ending scene where a character takes a group photo implies that there are girls other than Amane there. That definitely would have warranted a CG, or at least a list of the girls in text, because it's not clear at all who's there and who's not.

I hope some details of the ending get cleared up in the other routes, but I'm not holding my breath as I think I remember seeing at least one EGS review say that there are some loose ends in the game.
