I'd hard to tell, there are lots of producers that consistently integrate well the PV, like Hitoshizuku × Yama△, Mitchie M, sasakure.UK, cosmo, mothy (this one I'm not sure since there are so many fan PVs) and Harumaki Gohan. Sure, even if the composition and vocals of Vocaloid songs usually do not compare with those of very top artists, it's easier to find music that personally resonates with me when there is such a huge number of songs focused on a large variety of very niche audiences, instead of those that try (and succeed) to resonate with many people at once. Songs like Tower of Sunz, Lonely UFO, Chain Girl, Hello Planet, Hayabusa and Unknown Mother Goose (more recently) are some of the songs that I've listened the most through the years and they still move me. I have a feeling the new pinnochio-P song will enter that list.

I don't have a formal top 10 though, I just consider songs I return to listen the most as those.

"FM40.4" has 烂兔子P (RottenRabbit) taking center stage for the most part; it's got some very jazzy, poppy rock to show off that I think most anyone can enjoy, but it doesn't shy away from a smooth and slow song in between. "Jungle Rules" is the latest in the "Five Dimensional Medium" project, with tracks from veterans MeLo, Evalia, Zeno, and ONO sure to please. Vocalists will include only Stardust, Shian, and Sky this time around; 3 per album seems to be the way they're doing things for now.

If you're interested in this one, you probably know what Quadimension's all about; if not, I highly recommend checking the crossfade link I posted. The way they blend western genres with a traditional Chinese sound is really fun to listen to. I'm particularly excited about the lead track, Evalia's "Law of the Jungle." If future Vocaloids have the full phoneme editing options they have now then you'll always be able to make them not sound like a real person, even if they get some assisted/inference mode to humanize the voice. That's the best scenario in my opinion.

If they double down on the NEUTRINO strategy and the voice is generated by black box neural networks and best you can do is play with it's parameters until you get the result you want given your song input, then it became just a cheap replacement singer and not a full instrument anymore.

Vocaloid already is a "cheap replacement singer". It's purpose is to replace real singers for producers who can't afford them or in some cases don't want to deal with them. Either way as a non producer and someone who only listens to it i don't care much. Humans sound better but the robotic voice doesn't bother me that much.

Maybe that's what Yamaha wanted, but it wasn't what it got after Miku, Vocaloid songs don't just use the tech just to voice the song, they put the singers as it's centerpiece: the singer is almost always mentioned together with the producer and many of the songs incorporate the singer as it's main focus (making them for example the characters of the narrative of the song). And many producers keep using them after they get famous enough to get some average to good singer, even though they will sound technically better.

I'm still not entirely sure it's actually ONE and not her voice provider. The vibratos are kinda telling, but it's not like a human can't sound like that or be edited to sound like that.
