I prefer Necro Fantasy for the more gradual buildup and the less crowded nature of the track.
Even when listening to the original WAVs with a HD600s and a good amp, Necrofantasia sounds like there are too many instruments layered on top of one another, to the detriment of the song's clarity.

I think this is primarily the fault of ZUN's MIDI-oriented composition style, even with later DAW editing to clean it up/balance it out. On other arranges, I much prefer Necrofantasia, like for example:
