You have to hold ALT, though, I think. Thats the only way ive been able to do it. Then click on the moongate name.

Soloing after about 20 really sucks. Ciar Beginner is totally trivial, but any other dungeon is pure rape. In the normal versions of Ciar, and in Math, etc, each room spawns like 8 mobs, who are all about 10x as aggressive as Beginner mobs. I walk up one goblin, and in the 5 seconds it takes me to kill it, another goblin is smacking me, and an archer is taking aim.

What's worse, though, is that the exp gains increase linearly while mob power increases exponentially. A young poison goblin in Ciar Beginner, that I will insta-kill with one combo every single time, is worth 100 exp. A skeleton in Rabbie that has 4 or 5 times the hp, and can insta-kill me with one combo is only worth 150 exp. I'm trying to come up with a good reason to grind anywhere other than Ciar Beginner, but I can't.

Also, why in the hell is the Mimic fomor scroll quest worth so much more money than other quests that require you to kill much more powerful enemies? Like Wisps, for example. They have the hp of brown bears and fuck you up with lightning magic, but they're worth less than Mimics.

Im a support mage at the moment, but im able to hold my own against ciar beginner. Getting each type of magic, including healing and also having first aid. That way I can patch up party members and heal them.
Im debating getting cooking aswell to increase SP and give bonus effects, but I dont know whether its worth the AP or money.

Also, quick question; shield. Worth it? It doesnt seem it unless you want to defend against ranged monsters, but the archers cant even do damage against melee so it seems pointless.

actually, rank A sharp mind isn't bad when everything else costs like 6+ AP to level. Think about it, it only costs 1AP each time to level and adds 2 max hp per level. That's +12 max hp for 5 AP. It might also increase the rate of noticing what the enemies are using too. I'm playing with a laptop and a desktop side by side and one of my chars has rank D sharp mind (still has 12 AP with nothing to spend it on... no point in leveling the other fighting stuff after you get counter to C). I've noticed that I can see some attacks with that char when my other char (with rank f sharp mind) get a question mark on the same monster. Might be luck but...

I started at lvl 11 but I had a bastard sword already. It's not hard btw, just smash, counter with bastard sword and they're dead. Only problems you might run into are the wounds that the freaken mimics like to give and if you chase after the wrong goblin archer in the 3 goblin archer spawn. Just remember to use pots at the golem and try not to pick up wounds (which is where you have to watch out for mimics and goblin archers, cuz they give tons of wounds, especially the archers)

Here is a easy way fight, Cast Campfire near monster your are going to fight, attack it with a bow next to the campfire, run behind the campfire, and hopefully it will block the monster from reaching you, use magnum blow on monster. You can kill bears at lvl 10 doing this.

1)Cast five Icebolts
2)Fire all icebolts at bear
3)Melee

6)Repeat until bear is dead

There's an even easier way. Head southeast from Dunbarton, and you'll usually find a bear next to the area exit. Charge up 5 magic shots, shoot, exit, charge up in that area, come back to Dunbarton area, shoot, exit, charge up, repeat until bear is dead.

Or you could do the way I did it. Get Counter C and Production mastery D, counter lasts forever and a half, counter, defend while walking AWAY FROM THE BEAR, if bear doesn't rush you and starts charging something, cancel defend and use counter immediately. Repeat until bear is dead.

There is one question I have though. My game runs fine and smoothly EXCEPT for two occasions. When I hit C (for character screen) the game will freeze slightly. If I keep hitting C over and over (opening and closing character screen) the game will get laggy. Same thing happens when I hit L (for message logs). None of this happens when I open other windows (such as skills or inventory). I'm running this on a core2duo 2.2 ghz, Geforce8600gt, 3gig shared ram. Does anybody else get that slight freezing problem or is it just me?

Sorry, make that two questions. Second question, has anyone found a way to kill mimics without triggering the "trade blows" thing? It really annoys since they have a really high chance of giving wounds and it's a waste of bandages.

Casting windmill will allow you to check if the box is a mimic. If it is a mimic the windmill attack will hit the bastard and it'll fly away. Take that chance to use defense. It should load by the time the mimic rushes in to you. Seriously, at Rank F defense, I've never seen a mimic do more than 1 damage.

Yes. Do it in a party and have everybody keep him down with magic. If you mean solo, then just do the smash, counter, defend thing. If he raises one of his arms, cancel whatever you're doing and try to either 1. run away if you have some distance between you and him or 2. run towards him and hope you can regular attack him out of his AoE. Don't be stingy, drink pots. If you can't see what he's doing (sharp mind not high enough), then remember, if he has an action sign over his head and is running at you, he's going to smash you, stop defending if you're defending and normal attack him.

God, weaving is tedious.

Spend 5-10 minutes collecting 30 pieces of wool, bring them back to the weaver, fail 4 out of 6 times and walk away with only two balls of yarn to show for it.

And then, when you've finally collected several balls of thick and thin yarn, you fail when you try to make something with them.

I wish my character didn't look like a freakish muscleman. I went on a berries and cabbage diet and I'm not seeing much progress.

I think ice is there just for stunning so you can use counter. Since counter deals back a % of the enemy's damage basically the weaker you are the more damage would be returned to Ogre.

It's cheap (in terms of AP), you'll get a shitload of Stamina, and it will basically speed up the whole process (and it doesn't grow by 1% - the increase grows each time)

Read the exclamation marks when they cast skills. I can't remember but it's something like this:

Just read their pattern and react accordingly. I suggest taking the wisp in the north east section of Dunbarton map, between the two apple trees. If you die just respawn at dunbarton to save EXP.

Remember, you don't need to get 100% weaving, all you need is 100 points in order to advance it. The only reason why people would get 100% is for the character exp that it'll give you for the full perfect skill advancement. Ya, Rabbie is harder to do with other people than it is solo. Especially when you get to metals. Skeletons, Red Skeletons, and Metal Skeletons are all easy and require No skill use. Just use basic attacks on them when they're running in a circle or running at you with a skill charged, it's smash. This method is insta win, never fails unless you lagg or you fail at life.

It is possible to solo Rabbie as soon as you're level 12, you'll be level 15 after your first run. Skeleton Wolves will be your only problem since you can't just spam defense against them like higher levels.

Nothing in this dungeon will gank you. Nothing.

Getting from town to town in this game is a pain in the ass.

I have to visit Nilys regularly and talk to her in order to keep up my validation for her route path, or else affection points go down. But I'm starting to have shitons to do in other towns. Moongates aren't always convenient either.
