The problem with netplay threads is that there aren't many people that can host. Or aren't willing.

bleh, I hate Normal, I always play on Hard; scoring is impossible early on and the patterns early in the matches are so slow they actually fuck me up more (everything lingers on the screen too long and overlaps).

Actually beat Reimu though, which never happens on Hard; died to Medicine after 3 minutes, got raped by Yuka, and the automatic first round loss to Siki.

That was awful, and I feel awful. I only managed to clear two cards, which is just plain bad. I seem to have some huge aversion to both 6A and 6B; it's seriously saying something when I can clear most of the other cards in the game on Lunatic one out of two or three times, but can't consistently capture Eirin's stuff on Normal.

Held Ctrl at the end for too long, and it started getting bright before I expected it to. Not my best move.

So I not only did horribly, I also lagged a lot. What the hell happened.
By the way, how do I unlock 6A for practice? I don't know how I did it for Reimu/Yukari, but I recently 1cc'd on 6B with Marisa/Alice and I can't go practice there.

Yeah, some PoFV occasionally is a good thing, I'd say. I'd enjoy it more if I could actually beat Sikieiki, but I enjoy trying (and failing) anyway. Just a bit more practice and I might actually be able to 1CC Normal. I find it a bit ironic that I've beat Extra with both Komachi and Sikieiki, but fail Normal at Sikieiki every single time.

Anyway, past the rant; yeah, mixing in PoFV is good for a change of pace.

Died on Repository of Hirokawa. I knew I was going to die so I took the screensot when the spell cards started. Took about 20 second into the spell card to get killed.

I can't believe I died three times on Repository of Hirokawa (which is the sort of card I can capture most of the time even on Lunatic), but only died once on Sumizome Perfect Blossom (which I can almost never capture, regardless of difficulty). My death was at the 4 second mark, as well.

Yuyuko's attacks are pretty assholish in the sense that nearly all of them get harder as they progress. I'm seriously afraid of what the lasers in Lost Soul's Village would do to me if I tried a pacifist run on Lunatic.

It's typically regarded as such, yes. I was working so hard to keep my score low that I didn't stream the lines of butterflies properly, and got trapped. Only reason I didn't lose more than three lives is because I started streaming properly after a bit.

So yeah, it's an easy card, normally, but it's a bloody pain if you're trying to avoid grazing.

Failed hard on Lunatic; I'm very unfamiliar with EoSD on Lunatic (I don't even remember specifically unlocking up to stage 3), so I lost on Meiling's first boss noncard. Those new spread bursts during her midboss noncard surprised me more than anything; clearly, everything I know is wrong.

I'm no expert at StB, so I don't know for sure if this is good or bad, but I'm personally guessing that it leans towards the latter. I had to struggle a fair bit at first to even clear the scene; I only managed to do so when I shifted my focus away from scoring and onto surviving.

That didn't go so well. I had to bomb so much on Hina's pre-midboss spinning stuff that I only had one bomb for Biorhythm of the Apotropaic God, so that killed my score a bit. I'd bet that my numerous deaths had a part in it, as well.

The entire stage is in sync with the song, actually. ZUN went to enough trouble to even put enemies after the midboss fight to stall until a certain part of the stage comes up. Pretty awesome, I'd say.

Had to bomb twice on Mega Flare... this spell card isn't a pattern at all. Everything el se capture... also so close to beat my own hi-score.

Captured everything but Nuclear Fusion; am I the only one who has trouble with that card? Well, mostly on the higher difficulties, I suppose, considering that I went into the card with low power this time. Either way, even with a decent amount of power, I still find myself timing it out (if I haven't gotten hit and bombed my way through the rest of the card by then, that is).

The fact that I went pacifist for a bit on those spirits near the start of the stage probably didn't help this run; my line of thought was "graze the bullets they aim at you, it's totally worth it." Then it hit me that it'd be even more worth it to just collect the ton of point items that they drop instead.

No Lunatic run this time; I haven't managed to unlock stage 6 on Lunatic.
