Getting into eroges, I played through Onii-Kiss recently and decided to download the other game Tinkle Position put out that's untranslated.

I'm not able to find any images online of the menus translated either and I want to make sure I have optimal settings. If I wanted to request someone translate the menus, is there a specific thread I could post in, or is there another place I should ask?

On a scale of "on who or on what?" to "and redpilled", how based is this guy?

So, I just played both 冥刻學園 games. I enjoyed myself for the most part but the second game was disappointing. The first game had great ero and the biggest flaw was that the game ended so abruptly for an obvious later on sequel, but since I didn't play it until the sequel was out that wasn't a big deal. All the girls became sluts for the protag, they all got a gangbang bad end, decent amount of threesomes, I like butchas art, it was a good time. But the sequel was just lazy in comparison. The sequel reused CGs from the first game a lot which is always a big disappointment in a nukige, but on top of that all the h-scenes were significantly shorter. At a rough guess the average length of an h-scene in the second game was less than half the length of the average h-scene in the first game, and there were less scenes that used multiple unique cgs. The second game also had the appeal of two routes, a good one and an evil one, where in the evil one the girls become ubersluts and get railed by faceless men all the time. But what actually happened was in the evil route there were only one or two gangbangs per girl, with some girls only doing blowjobs, and then the final harem scenes (the good route didn't have a harem ending) were short and uninspired. I'm sure some of you are thinking who cares if the evil route doesn't go full degeneracy you cuck, but what's the point of even giving the option if you are going to half ass it? They could have used the resources to do shit like put more than threesome scene in the good route. The whole 'girl is full of horny sluts you can bang other than the heroines' angle was underused as well. Only a handful of scenes between games, and in the second game the CGs get reused. The girls were cute, art was good, scenes were hot, but the declined quality of scenes between the games as well as the neutered evil route meant I finished the series disappointed.

It's ironic that the first game with it's clearly unfinished sequelbait story ended up being the one with the most complete actual content, while the sequel which had the actual conclusion to the story felt more unfinished. I still liked it and it's still a good recommendation for a fap but it's easy to see how it could have been much better.

Reminds me a little of SnA where I expected more from the devil route and was left wondering what happened to the gangbangs with the main girls. Finished レイルロアの略奪者. It was a fun ride, even if a bit shallow underneath. I certainly enjoyed ソーサリージョーカーズ more and it depresses me since it took them 4 years to release this game. Like, nobody aside from ミリアリス and グレイドリック was especially interesting, the plot lacked intricacy and the final chapter was kinda rushed? I dunno, gets 7 from me cuz I'm a sucker for linear vns, fights, magic and all that crap. At the very least it was engaging so you won't get too easily bored with it.

Finished Amatsukaze. To me it was basically Eve but better. Same writing style/quality, but a cooler setting, better BGMs, better art, insane spritework/effects, better gameplay, and more chuuni elements with the sheer number of battles. The scenario never manages to feel too boring or slow despite its length, and I really enjoyed how it was able to slowly build up the conflicts and stakes. The main cast and sub characters all feel like they naturally fit into the world with their own personalities and feelings, and you can clearly notice the development of the characters and their relationships with eachother. The protagonist is a lot more developed compared to Eve's, where the robot heroines were more of a focus than Masaya himself, and although Jinma is a lot more "normal" than Masaya, it made the overall story feel stronger. As for the heroines, all of them felt well written and the game does a good job of making them, Jinma, and the rest of the 山吹組 feel like a family working together towards a goal. After the common route, I was initially dissapointed since I did Yuunagi/Natsume's routes first, but Akebi/Sayo's routes more than made up for it as the true core of the game. Akebi's fights were some of the best in the game, especially her true ending. Sayo ended up becoming one of my favorite heroines ever, I'm a sucker for characters like her and her growth as a ruler as she slowly becomes a central part of the story was amazing. I'm glad her true end seems like the canon one, and it was definitely the most satisfying. I just wish there were more SoL/icha scenes with her.
If there's some things that Eve did better, it's probably the amount of development the villains got and how it handled its overall themes. Amatsukaze deals with stuff like revenge, guilt, the role of ninjas as the "dark side" of history, responsibility as a ruler/leader, the concept of 故郷 and much more, and does a good job of presenting these in an interesting manner, but I expected a bit more from the ending as a culmination of these themes. The things that it did touch on instead at the end would've been more interesting if they went into little more detail about the まつろわぬ民, the secrets of the 朝廷, and the setting of the world as a whole outside 龍国. Nevertheless, the game is fun even without any of these deeper themes as a chuuni/燃え game, and you can feel the insane amount of effort the creators put into everything just like Eve. Don't know if I'll be playing the other games in the Machina Chronicle series, since it doesn't seem like any of the rest have comparable quality to Eve/Amatsukaze, which is a shame since the setting/timeline looked pretty cool.

Amatsukaze is a lot simpler gameplay wise than Eve, with no SLG part, just card battles, and it isn't as much of a pain to get to each ending, so if that's what holding you back then yes I'd recommend it. Amatsukaze still has quite a bit of h-scenes, but out of 60ish in total scenes 30 of those are kind of separated from the main story as "ninja training" sequences, and maybe another 10 of the remaining 30 is bad end/defeat scenes, so it's not as bad as Eve. The removal of the SLG part alone probably makes it playable for you.

There isn't any major connections between the two games other than being in the same world, so you don't really have to play Eve first if it's too annoying.

I don't even know why you are so focused on romance. Not everything is about that. Sometimes it's secondary. As long as there is something else done well, that what's focused on, that should be fine.
Plus, the main girl's romance in Newrin was better than what you find in 95% of moege. Sure, the protagonist basically hits a switch when it comes to having romantic feelings or not, but even that is in the large large majority of VNs as well.

Now, the majority doing something badly doesn't mean it's suddenly good. But again. Most games don't even do anything else. THEN it's bad. If romance and the romantic relationship isn't your number 1 goal, then it should be fine taking a backseat.
Newrin has great pacing, that's one of the best things about it. If anything you could argue, that the sideroutes were unnecessary. Yes, they were. But blame the medium for that. Every girl needs a route, even if it doesn't fit the story.


I'm glad the writer goes further with what he likes to do, instead of sticking to stupid medium standards. Didn't work out with Mirai Radio in my opinion, but I'd rather have someone trying and failing than another shitty moege where nobody even tried.

So, I just finished 貴女が居るのに寝取られちゃう. It was good. It wasn't to my own specific tastes so much in the end but it was good.

The MCs goal during the game is to destroy the lily relationships between the heroines, which he does, and while it's far from the darkest thing I've seen in a nukige it doesn't end well for them. Their innocent high school yuri is broken and every heroine has an ending where they are mindbroken and getting fucked in front of their love interest while pregnant. The ero is good, although considering the point of the game is yuri pairs there is a criminal lack of threesomes. There are a handful of random NPC h-scenes which I actually think had better capture gimmicks than the main pairs but isn't that how it usually goes, wishing side characters had a route. I guess the biggest thing was I wasn't getting much satisfaction from destroying these girls because the motivation for doing so from the MC is what his ex-girlfriend did to him and she isn't a character, it's just what you find out from his monologues. There was good variation in the ero which is always good.

There was one particular part of the game that stood out as odd to me, and I don't know if maybe I'm just too stupid to see the subtext, but the MC has a male friend who supplies him with the hentai fantasy hypnotism drug, and he's portrayed as mysterious throughout the game and unless there's a secret ending with no scenes or CGs you never find out what his deal is. Every route ends with the MC talking to him, including the harem route, and I was getting the implication that he hypnotises the MC to start breaking women in the first place, but he doesn't have a motive and there's no twist in the VN. The friend actually shows up in one of the scenes (he doesn't do anything sexual) so he exists as the MCs friend but he talks about owing a debt, and the MC puts odd emphasis on his words and repeats them mentally all the time, and you the grainy CG that appears when the MC talks to his friend or thinks about his ex is the same one that appears when girls get hypnotised, but there's no payoff to all this. It was extremely strange and made me feel like he's supposed to be a character from another game or that I missed something.. I dunno I might be overthinking it.

The mindbreak is a good balance between 気持ちいい and complete 絶望. Kimiko and Kunoe had some great scenes where I actually started to feel bad for them. MC didn't care as much as I did and trucked on regardless like the cucked by a women incel he is. Kimiko in general was an absolute cutie with great scenes especially in the final stretch of her route. Kana was dull. Definitely enjoyed the Raimu/ Kimiko pair more.

The biggest flaw is the routing of the game. After breaking one member of a pair you can't continue with the other. Clearing one member of each pair gives you the harem ending. The friend character was a total mystery for me as well. My personal theory is that they introduced him as a way to show the power of a good male friendship compared to the fickle "bond" between females. The dialogue between MC and him almost felt more loveydovey than the girl on girl bonding scenes. I liked his addition but the lack of payoff and the constant hints at a larger mystery in the endings where downers. Highlight is the scene where he explains why his perfume isn't just some magical rape potion even though it works exactly like one. He’s an absolute bro who didn’t do anything wrong.

If you ever wanted to rape the gang of Maria-sama ga Miteru, this is the game for you. The interesting gimmick is that the game is spilt into two discs, a yuri part and a rape part. Finished reading Mora's route in Vjedogonia. Pretty good, it had some drama and character development that was pretty nice. The simulation aspect on the world map could have been done in a much better fashion. No randomness for one thing and then don't trigger events you've already seen. I think the events are a bit too short as well. In fact, that's the main issue the game has. It's really lacking content, especially when you ignore the raising phase. The scene unlocking is weird to me and I think I've only seen the initial (d25) scene for Aoba and her bed time action one. Considering that I'll definitely be avoiding all rape scenes and the scene replay screen is rather small I would guess there simply aren't a whole lot of unseen vanilla scenes.
Regardless, the events which are in the game are good if you know the manga as there is a lot of mentioning of previous events going on and homages. The fight scenes are super long and detailed, the OST is fantastic in my opinion and the voice actors are doing a good job. I'm definitely feeling the Jinki vibe. Basically, there is absolutely no reason to read this if you haven't read the various manga. It would be really painful considering that this is basically a piece of fan service for Jinki fans. Adequate I would say is more accurate as most are pretty straight-forward dungeon crawler stuff. Not even that different from other visual novels that host similar gameplay mechanics. They're all kind of basic and if they're not they tend to be terribly balanced like GoD for example. Outside of the need to grind in certain titles I can't think of a Rance title that actually has "garbage" gameplay as that really would get in the way of the overall enjoyment. 5D maybe.
