I used Process Monitor to tell what script file the VN was loading when clicking start (fst_1216_a1_cmn.mes) to test it.

CircusEditor is not a proper TL tool, even its creator warns you about it. It's more like a base to make your own tool.

Anyway, if you're not a programmer, you're better off using SacanaWrapper to dump the script.

Just download the Circus plugin, drag and drop the script files (.mes) into the tool, and it'll dump them into .txt files. Do the same to the .txt files, with the .mes files in the same folder, and the tool will compile them back.
