Why the fuck hasn't the remake been released or considered to be released on Steam yet? The cyberpunk setting and Urobuchi fame alone would make it turn a profit. JAST's reasoning for skipping it was retarded back in the day and is even more retarded now, especially when the guy who translated it still works for them and probably has the unedited script in a document somewhere to bypass the involvement of a bunch of fan editors.

There's already a port of the translation that proves the vertical textboxes is a non-issue, and the guy who did it said on /vn/ a few years ago that it took less than a week to get it done and that most of the time was spent on reformatting the script from NVL text dump to ADV, so in JAST time that should take them about 8 years.

In a theoretical timeline where no official publisher was never interested in Rance, Rance Quest Magnum might have a complete translation eventually. Same goes for IX, 01, 02 kai, and 03 since all of those games are shorter. Not X though; that game is an utter monster. Even with the official translation being stalled a bit, it would likely be out sooner than a theoretical Rance X fan translation that wasn't funded by a random rich guy.

Yeah they will let you buy their mangagamer points with paypal which you can then use to purchase titles on their store. They also don't accept my Visa card but if I have to contact support for a paypal link to get MG points so that I can then finally buy the title I want, that's just too much effort which is half the reason I do all my purchases on the JAST store. The other half being that they have a no questions asked refund policy so you can get your money back when publishers do some really dumb shit with the translation, which you cannot do on any other store.
