And here’s me thinking, “if you find novels frustrating, you’re in no way “fluent.” Plus, accumulating a vocab of 10,000 words is in no way difficult if you’re consistently doing immersion, and collecting phrases and words to review. Plus, a lot seem to struggle with context, whereas figuring shit out through context is what I’ve been doing since day 1. Are people just dumb or what? Many of them spend upwards of 3 years to prepare for the N1, and honestly, in 3 years of immersive study, you’re looking at a vocabulary twice the size necessary to pass that test.
