The thing is, the Vimana actually was mentioned in one persian/indian legend. It was some sort of flying throne (with bound eagles if I'm not incorrect) some king used to fly to China.

Most things mentioned in the backgrounds, lifes and weapons of the heroes have some basis of some version of the myth(or history).

Disregarding the 'What if Arthur did what he did while female', the only one that is definitely wrong, is in the Weapon Material, where Rho Aias flower shape is attributed to the flowers sprouting from where Aias' blood was shed (supposedly hyacinth), but that a whole different guy (Hyacinthus, boy gods lusted over).
