A typical day for Mokou begins at Keine's. After rubbing the sleep out of her eyes and killing the morning breath with a cup of hard liquor, she pulls on her clothes, goes out and takes in the morning air with two cigarettes.

By the time she's finished, Keine is preparing breakfast, and the smell of food cooking whets her appetite a little.
Mokou exercises now. She goes for a quick run, lifts some weights, practices her martial arts. She comes back to Keine's house and they have breakfast.

After Keine leaves for the schoolhouse, Mokou goes over to the humamn village with a cart.
She sets up her shop in an alley, grilling chicken on skewers and selling them to shoppers and travelers.
This is how she spends her day. Once she's made enough money, she packs up and drags her cart over to the bar for a drink and some more cigarettes.
Here is where you can catch her for a guide into the forest.
If she's in the mood, she'll take you through. Most times you'll only earn a scowl and a less-than-polite suggestiomn to get lost.
After a few tankards of black, bitter beer, Mokou drags her cart back to Keine's house, where supper is being made.
You all know what else happens.

Mokou's body is in a permastasis and does not lose energy.
Sleep is impossible, anyway, as when her brain's status changes from active to unconscious it's reversed by the Hourai Elixir as if it were a death.

She wanders the bamboo forest looking for people in need of help, usually. She also practices her varied martial arts or meditates. This is why she was well braced for an extended attack at 2 AM.

It's just the most logical way the Hourai Elixir works, what with how Eirin needed Kaguya to make it and how Kaguya's power works in canon.
Dragging the instant of the body to eternity is a logical conclusion, and the rest I say is just a following of that conclusion.

Of course ZUN's just a drunk and I'm just putting "logical" correlations where I want to see them as he almost certainly didn't intend them. Ignore me if you want.

To break down my theory...

Kaguya's power of Eternity - Needed by Eirin to create the Hourai Elixir.
Effects - the ability to manipulate the eternal and the instantaneous.
As written in PMiSS -
"As eternity refers to a world with no history, it is also a world where change is eternally unknown.
No matter how much you may try to bring about change in such a world, it is futile in a world where time has essentially stopped.
A perpetual world denies any sort of change. "

The way I think it works - Replace "world" with "body" for the effects of the Hourai Elixir. Sleep and death and dismemberment and even fatigue are "changes", so I think they'd never even get tired.
