I went on a school trip to India, a long time ago. It was pretty amazing to experience the different culture, and seeing how royally fucked up the entire country is in so many ways.

But the worst thing about it was the food. Indian food is pretty nice, providing you aren't eating it in India. Over 1/2 the people on the trip got sick.

My uncle has been running some forest projects in India, and a lot of his stories are about how fucked up the Indian society is.
He had to buy his workers free from their daily 10 % loans just so he could be sure that they were honest with him - of course they had to pay him back, just without the ridiculous interest.

Maybe I'd like to go there (and only eat at fancy restaurants since I can't deal with Indian food), but I'd prefer not living/working there.
