In fact, Gil's battle with Berserker was basically a CONSTANT firing of the Gate and when Berserker STILL withheld and nearly reached him, he pulled out Enkidu.

And at that, Gil wanted a fight out of Berserker, being a famous demigod like him. The only thing he wanted for the "imitator" was to put him down for his crimes.

Gil fires at least 4 waves.
In the 5th wave, Berserker repels it and runs.
Gil gets chain.
He fires a huge rain of weapons, on an IMMOBILE target all over him, that took MORe than one of his lives.
And then, he comes up AGAIN and receives a proto Gae Bolg in his heart. And still doesn't dissipate immediately.

Archer took a hasty attack aimed at Shirou, then ANOTHER one which covered him in Rubble thus we do not see his condition.

So, yeah.

Well, Bererker received enough for 12 lives, who knows how many waves of swords.
Archer got one wave that was for Shirou(not a servants), and another one which we do not know how it connected.
