The first concert is always the most hectic and the most memorable, unless you went to the Magical Mirai of the 10 year aniversary. That one was easily the best and moet memorable concert as of yet. But I still remember my first time going to a magical mirai (back in 2013). I'll repeat the instructions from last thread. Recommendations for figure displaying? I'm almost out of room in my bookcase and my shitty cheap Walmart shelves. I know people tend to use the tall glass cases from Ikea, but I have way too many figures for that; I'd have to buy a bunch of those. What's the ideal figure display method for tons of figures? They're mostly scales along with a modest chunk of nendos.

I've already stopped buying more (to save money not space), but I'm still getting figures in the mail that I bought a year/two years ago.

The new tracks were really great. I was looking forward to hearing Akairo ga Kowai the most, but Angel Care ended up being my favorite of the new ones. Didn't notice anything new about the old tracks except Muko no Anata had some extra vocals at the end. They can't carry an entire crowd though, and most fans attending these concerts don't know the whole chanting system. It also demonstrates my earlier point where if the video is overexposed it shows the models are white blurry messes and makes the screen quite obvious. In the latter half the video gets much better and you notice the projection much less which is what it's closer towards in real life

One interesting point is that Fiesta is not particularly crowd engaging. Most of the songs are design with chorus and such that naturally lend to chants or whatever but Fiesta's crowd performance was pretty tame. Could say it's because it's the debut but all the other debut songs did just fine

I'm no expert on this but I saw a video a long, long time ago where someone on nico made their own hologram. The trick was that the "screen" itself wasn't actually flat but it had some sort of ridges similar to cardboard. So what I'm guessing is that the projection screen at Miku Expo is also not just straight flat but some sort of special material and the projections from the 3 projectors overlap to give the hologram effect. It was only when she went to the sides that she ended up blurry, so it's probably something to do with the pictures not lining up perfectly

This is all speculation though. One of my friends who was more centre than me also complained that it was pretty blurry until he wandered off to the sides (because he was starting to have feel light headed not having eaten in 8 hours like an idiot)

There was some guy was a whale with the body mass of two people with all sorts of social problems near me. I queued up after 2pm and in front of me there was some girl dressed up as Rin who was apparently dancing around and managed to twist her angle bad on the curb and was in despair. Behind us were some pajeet girls who were okay but kept leaving/rejoining the queue partially and entirely. Got into a brief discussion about whether Miku Expo or Magical Mirai had a better setlist, he was VIP and had clearly queued up really early yet he was waiting for his friend who was in GA...In the venue I was stuck next to a 6ft guy who was with his girlfriend and clearly wasn't that interested in vocaloid. Later on some guys pushed in to the left of us who were fucking GA and managed to push their way into what is basically VIP zone the cheeky cunts

You're supposed to use a light stick from one of the Vocaloid concerts. The standard light sticks like the Kingsblade are much brighter which means they reflect off the projection screen more and ruin the hologram effect.
