Choices might leave you unable to recruit your fellow demons, but I'm not sure. There is a wiki if you want spoilers about those choices though.

The thing that irks me the most is that it's a rich-get-richer economy. The only way to play seems to be to wait until you have 30k money and then build a Temple. And then another. And then another. And once all Waterfronts are done, you start building Colosseums on Plains and/or Brothers in Towns. Once everything is done, you're making so much money that resources are not longer even a consideration... and only at this point can you start doing the extremely wasteful single-round fights to boost your score rating. I guess it would help if you knew some bullshit OP meta combinations or something, but for a first playthrough it's mostly just annoying.

But as far as I can tell, corrupting or not is two different choices. Get to 99 Mingle and you get to make her un-corruptable and give her two extra skills (very powerful ones) or corrupt her at 40-ish Train. I don't know what exactly happens if you corrupt them.

So how does one modernize the eroge reading experience while also staying lucrative enough to keep their business afloat? Especially in the onset of modern recording and streaming features, one can probably not even curb the ability to share an entire visual novel's experience via webms or a hosting channel, or even a chatroom like discord, let alone worry about pirating affecting sales. So then, why not fully embrace the ability for users to share the eroge experience with their social groups? But how one would go about doing so, I would not know. Maybe take the Miconisomi or KISS approach and create ADVs with 3D models that have fully rendered sex scenes. Though that also kills a part of the appeal of ADVs being drawn by popular artists.

Some other reasons I speculate are:

-Attention span of younger generations is likely lower due to constant internet use, so they want mediums with less of a time investment,even for porn
-Old audience who played eroge either grew out of it or are too tired to engage with it anymore
-Writers can potentially cultivate a huge fanbase and make a lot of money by writing light novels and web novels, which are easier to initially make than eroge, just write
-Eroge is insanely easy to pirate, most of the people who read them know how to do it and there is no popular, effective security measure like denvuo yet
-Many companies going under causing others to lose faith in the industry
-Many people likely think the price point is too expensive except for hardcore fans who want to support a particular company

All of these along with the rise of gacha ensure that the industry won't rise prominence anymore, the money ain't there. Big publisher like Willplus or DMM might actually be a good thing for this industry, if they can fund eroge that might not be made otherwise, like Sorceress Alive.

that's Brave, the game where the Chaos route pretty much doesn't exist. Lagoon doesn't have the traditional type of corruption but it makes up for it by having really good story and characters. The huge difference is that you have the main girl be on an equal standing with the protagonist and you make choices for both of them. If she decied to go as far as she needs to for her revenge than he will help her and the characters that have been helping them so far will react differently depending on their personalities. What happens to the ones who don't follow them is enough to break them pretty hard.
If you want something like Frontier I reccomend Hypno, Gaia and Abyss. Especially Hypno is probably the best or second best game in the whole series.

We'll in my opinion Lagoon chaos route does corruption best in series but isn't its main focus and only the main heroine has proper corrupted form, the corruption in Lagoon chaos is more tied to its story so you actually see everyone going bonkers little in main story and find their own sanity in that insanity even without the corrupted forms like in other games.
If you want corruption like Frontier/Ragnarok Hypno does it best as it has proper character arcs for the corruption arcs instead of loosely stringed events like its in frontier, but like Frontier its mostly tied to charcter events and isn't as impactfully present in the routes itself.

Meikoku had to be two games entirely because they couldn't manage to make it just one game. Her twin sister keeps inventing robots and cloning to bring her back to life but doesn't believe in ghosts. His wife orchestrates him cucking her with the chubby sister and the dark haired, not actually her sister ... sister. The MC's half sister pops in and out of every route but has none of her own (one scene doesn't count assholes).
