Ok, there is a setting.exe in PSBB's folder.
You can set everything to low, and it runs as fine.

I tried PSO after playing PSU, and I was severely disappointed (I can only assume that ultra thick nostalgia goggles are the reason PSO is preferred. As annoying as the synth system was, it's a small price to pay for everything else about the game being superior). That being said, my clan in another MMORPG is all but dead, so I've been considering picking up PSO again. Does the game get any better at higher levels or does it stay roughly the same through the whole game?

Roughly any better, the more the time passes with powering up, but it's not bad if you liked Monster Hunter, just, tried to play it yesterday, and fucking raged at no Guarding feature.

Overall, this game is 120% worse than a real MMO right now, like Mabinogi, but, hey, at least, Europeans can play it.
My suggestion for you guys, is to not lose hope in games and just stop playing, if you want to play, play, just play, and get a good ammount of ideas about the game.

That said, there's no special MMO right now, they're all in Japanese/Korean/Ammerrikka stage, or they're shit. I'm not playing shit, I'll be playing a decent global game like PSO.

What's their problem with inactive characters? It's not like they take that much hard drive space.

Playing PSU offline with a ranger. Is there any way to target an enemy when aiming guns? Just pointing at enemies I end up missing alot especially in boss battles when you need to dodge attacks quickly.
