playing oomsest as a sister gunslinger, what firearm type should i be shooting for? currently dual wield shotguns in my hands and use a gemini port i found in my fire slot,, i know snipers were good in plus, dunno what to use here

Lasers are even more betterer in oomsest than in plus, for your ranged needs. Either that or a machine gun. You can of course just grab another custom gun, there's a bunch of 'em.

Gods are just high level npcs, for the most part.

Things they can do:
Kill hostile things (and maybe cause collateral damage).
Give you your final god reward item.
Sit there and loaf about.

I figured it out after a lot of trial and error. For some reason mp3 files at 320kbps won't work so I just batch lowered the bitrate.

This has some of the laziest most excessive rendering and animation I've seen in a long while.
Like, it's Flash-esque; looking like low effort pieces of paper all rigged to a bone structure, quickly rotated and keyframed. And that obnoxious overblown breathing/idle animation is reused fucking everywhere, constantly.
That aside, the texture assets are shit. Often varying in resolution/detail. With a lot of them seemingly scaled by something like HQx2/3/4 or xBRZ or some shit, and some of them just scaled with nearest.
There's mixels, rixels, sub-pixel offsets, the whole shitty pseudo-retro shebang. It's just missing a CRT/VHS distortion filter.

Catch a bubble, get some sandbags either by buying them or grabbing the one in noyel, then get the lucky dagger or another absorb stamina weapon.

Set up the bubbles in a circle around you and attack them, preferably with swarm. Turn off animations and waits so this goes faster.

You'll need to eat from time time, unless the weapon also has nether damage to heal you. Your maids can auto-feed you when starving if you do this at home/your dungeon and you enable the setting.

You can use cursed restore spirit potions to tank your mp down to 20, and cast heal light. You'll get max xp around -100 so it won't be as suicidal. Y

Like the other anon said, all the options are good with a bit of grind.
It's just that MA and heavy weapon in plus are the 'best'.
The only combat option that is outright worse than everything else is sword and shield, since the shield skills don't make up at all for the damage you lose by equipping the shield.

Elona OO is the best.

if you're asking about variants, the main two branchees are omake and plus. plus has an english version called plus custom you can find on the wikia forum, omake has translations for omake, oo, and oomsest. go on the wiki and look at what each version does to pick what sounds more interesting

The versions based on vanilla Elona like oomsest are unplayable due to obscene exponential requirements of platinum and blessed potions of potential.
They also don't have part 2 / 3 and lack an endgame.
Elona+'s current branches are full of unavoidable, constant piss fetish and a bunch of features that punish the player. You probably don't want that.

Ranch deeds are way easier to find than big brushes, so it actually made them easier to get.
If you're earlygame enough that the cost of a ranch deed is actually significant, you could just leave the brush at the ranch. Probably not something you should have to worry about though, so that embassy shop deal is definitely a good thing.

Hey guys I was just made aware of elona and wanted to get started playing it today. I checked the faq up top but not sure what to download.
Do I grab elona+ c then throw elona+g on top of that or do I need to do something prior? Dont wanna screw this up cuz I think the game looks like alot of fun and I really need a break from dorf fortress adventure mode (and I heard you can take care of fairies in this game)

I grabbed the elona+ c so far. downloads are slow and so is this laptop. had to switch to it cuz my rig died recently and im rebuilding everything from zero. Not that I know of, but running a thief with a sniper is pretty good early on. You'll one-shot a lot of things with crits. Later on you can switch to farmer to make the decap effect stronger.

and do accuracy bonuses from melee weapons affect ranged weapon accuracy/vice versa?

Melee weapons and ranged weapons do not interact with each other in any way shape or form.

Claws and tonfas do, however. If you want to go MA for melee. You'll get their damage+acc bonus on your gun.

Some enchantments also work. This includes extra attack, shooting mechanism, or piercing attack. Basically, if you can also get it on armor, it works globally.

Not only that, but in act 2 you can use AP to buy up to 300 life, and it's relatively cheap too. Combined with the fact sound resistance cancels most forms of dim, and the rest also bypass golem resistance, golems don't really have much going for them anymore.

Not a terrible choice though, just not as good as that guide led you to believe.
