Phase 1 was interesting, but sometimes it felt kinda slow, maybe is because R07 wanted to introduce the world and characters, I bet that the next Phases are going to be more dynamic.

The beginning is a mess since it introduces the dozens of characters, all the factions and kettles, and does the worldbuilding all at once so you're overloaded with information.
After that, it settles down and you start to get familiar with everything. At this point it gets kind of boring because, even with the setting and characters established, it's unclear where the plot is going, or if it's going anywhere at all. Then the, "don't stream or record past this point" message comes up and shit starts to get real. Protip: Read the character page before or around here.
It stays pretty engaging after this point until about 3/4th of the way through. Then it gets a little repetitive by repeating the same ideas over and over again. It picks up again near the end, and becomes amazing during the Christmas party.

Overall it has some problems but is well worth reading, especially during this time of year.
Don't forget to read all the tips at the end.
Also, Koshka is best girl.

Pretty much this, although this is literally the most positive review you can give it. At worst, its trash and R07 is finally out of touch. Its the kind of narrative that would fly 10+ years ago before we moved on from the naive New World Utopia dream. He is basically setting up an epic "woooow look at that an attempt at a muti-ethnic, post-modern technocracy is actually a nightmare scenario!" in dare I say it, the current year.

It starts strong, gets way too repetitive around the middle and ends up really strong.
I found it not quite as good as Onikakushi or Legend but nice enough to expect phase 2.
I mean, I think at its best points it's better, but the pacing is so much better in both of those. I've seen people say Legend in particular starts off slow, but when shit starts to go down it just gets more and more intense. Compare to Ciconia where when you think you're finally reaching some kind of climax you get cockblocked by walls of peace talk.

I also think phase 1 would get a lot better if the tips unlocked during the game. Really. Seeing characters other than Miyao's fanclub during the wall of peace talk reunions is what this game needed.
