Romance IRL died decades ago.

I'd imagine that one of the big problems some /jp/ users have is, instead of changing the way they are (I.E, fixing some of their own problems, improving things about themselves, etc) like most of the 'social world', they would prefer the other side of the relationship hold the entire burden of the change— that is, their ideal girl will conform to THEIR desires, accepting them entirely as they are.

It's not entirely flawed or wrong, but it's fundamentally doomed to fail in the 3d world, which is why many resort to 2D.
