Finished Flyable Heart. It was really good and enjoyable to play throughout. It was far from perfect (Mayuri's route felt unfinished, first half of Suzuno's route could have been better) but it managed to hit almost all of the beats in comedy, moe, and drama which is great. It's a good choice if you want to play a fluffy and heartwarming charage and you're not too picky about stuff.

I hated Kururi before her route but warmed up to her partway through, your mileage may vary on her though. Sakurako's route was fantastic and would be my favorite if it wasn't for my Yui bias. It's up to you if you do them, they're not strictly necessary for enjoying Suzuno's route but it's probably best to at least try them.

Tried to good end Momoyo 3 times, all bad ends. Tried being better at games than her, tried being worse at games than her. Nothing made that whore happy.

They had this idea with the room conquering and dungeon exploration in Himegari. There the entire system and the maps are made for it. So you can heal any unit you want, wherever it is, you can call units back wherever they are and even redeploy them on the rather frequent deployment gates under your control (fully healed). You can also teleport any unit to any point on the map you have control over. (everything for mana, teleport being somewhat expensive) This makes splitting units and speed beating maps feel rewarding. (aside of the fact that the game rewards you for that anyway)
Ended up in a dead-end? No, your unit isn't useless till the end of the map. Recall, redeploy. It's cheap. A unit found a small room full of baddies and can't handle it? Recall or teleport in some help.
As such huge rooms with lots of monster gates basically don't exist. There's a map where this happens, but you are supposed to block it, circle around it and beat the map like that.
In other words, the game had thought put into it.

Amayui is basically the opposite of this. HUGE rooms with tons of monster spawners, where you crawl through in super slow mode, as you can only move one fucking tile per turn/character. Or you door combat for 30 turns if you play hard mode. The system isn't made for this shit. You are supposed to get control over small rooms, split units well, abuse control to manipulate how the enemies can advance and so on. I also think they completely removed things like recall, teleport and so on, but I didn't beat Amayui. Amayui was fun when you didn't have many units yet and big rooms didn't happen much yet. But it just doesn't work later on.
Kamidori I forgot most things about at this point, but I think it's not better than Himegari either.

Himegari felt pretty linear to me compared to kamidori, I really liked the system they had going where you can capture and brain wash enemies you encounter by raping them.
What killed it for me was that if story units die they die forever, which made it a pretty tedious experience with lots of save scumming needed to keep them alive, even more so later on when the enemies get pretty strong, the stamina mechanic also felt unnecessary.
Only way to proceed is to go back levels and capture more expendable monsters which was also tedious. Even with your method of recalling and redeploying you have to walk from spawn a couple of rooms into a fight, drop to half hp, recall the unit because if you lose it to rng crit it's gone forever, redeploy it and repeat.
I think the game has ng+ which would make it pretty easy to 100% after first run. but the game is too slow paced and it was too much of a hassle for me to clear once.

Also Lily is absolutely broken to the point it's not funny, if you realize how level ups and training works. Failed rolls get "saved" for the next chance, and training is capable of rolling those chances, though not every training rolls everything. So for example, even if the chance of luck increase during training is a mere 1%, if you already have 40% saved, it's 41%. As such, you should train wisely and somewhat keep track of her progression, and she becomes a beast that has zero trouble even handling the reaper solo.

But sure, it's a Eushully game. Either you save scum or you grind. Pick your poison. At least the game is fairly nice with these things. Playing Amayui hard mode and the shit you need for needed upgrades is insane... not like anyone should do that. Eushully hardmodes are awful. Still, as far as I've seen there were answers for everything in Himegari. And the game is nowhere near hard enough to need insane grind or save scumming levels either. If you completely ignore it however and have bad luck, things can get awful. One of the best things of the game, monsters of the same type sharing exp, level and stats, becomes an issue then. Otherwise it's one of your biggest strengths though.

Yes, as long as you can get through the boring parts, i.e. the tedious SLG gameplay and sheer number of h-scenes. You can skip Touko/Juri routes and not miss much, but definitely play through Senpai and Tierra. I found Senpai's route the best, and it apparently has info important to Amatsukaze. Tierra's route has probably the most "true" ending. I didn't read Kuon's because another play-through from the beginning was too much for me, so can't say much there.
