Alright, let's talk about 5-5 DD quests and how they're fucking bullshit. Right now I'm trying to do Kongou C quest and, as expected, I can't. Sortie simulator tells me I have 0.2%(not 2, 0.2) chance of getting an S and I'll use about 400k fuel before getting it. Ok, alright, that's fine. Let's watch how some other guy deals with this quest, oh he uses same composition, but he has John, Tashkent, and Intrepid, and night bombers, and everything is at +6 at least. Ok, alright, I see, another quest I won't be able to clear in 2-3 years, or maybe ever.

Although it would be nice when once a country reaches a certain number of boats, one of them will be added to LSC. Like a 5:1 ratio will be nice.

So basically I was wondering what equipment I truly missed out on since I started around the spring of 2018. I have a feeling its primarily LBAS equipment and guess what, I wasn't wrong after looking at the past event rewards Every other piece of equipment I missed out on, I felt, was very optional in that I could find an easy alternative.

These are the equipments I felt could help stabilize my base which would basically guarantee I could challenge Hard all the time I feel or more importantly have an easier time farming.

Spring 2016: E6 T1(Nonoka)
Summer 2016: E1 T1 m.34, E3 Ginga,
Fall 2016: E4 T1 m.34
Spring 2017: E3 Hayabusa 54th & DLC 11th reg, E5 Hayabusa 64th
Summer 2017: E5 T1 m.34
Fall 2017: E1 p.Toukai, E3 Toukai 901
Winter 2018: E1 p.Toukai

The majority of the equipments were LBAS bombers but honestly I feel those are just a luxury. There is only 2 events were I feel I truly was cucked and I'm sure many new fags can agree which was, Spring 2017's rewards of the long range fighters and Winter 2017 Toukais. With the advent of the loli sub princess Toukais are worth its weight in gold and being stuck with 1 and forced to gimp my fleet is suffering.

Don't get me wrong. I'm not complaining, instead of having these equipment I just pay an extra sortie RSC tax to account for the failed runs. Also w/ the advent of ridiculous FFs it really isn't sort of a problem anymore. However this only on the condition that Tanaka doesn't lock out stupid gimmicks behind ridiculous equipment requirement. This event the ridiculous requirement made me miss out on a simple debuff but in the future I can imagine something more severe may happen.

TL;DR
All I'm really cucked out on are some Toukais and Long Range Fighters. Other then the fact on having to pay resource sortie tax, due to missing the aforementioned equips, I don't think I am that cucked anymore.

Actually thinking about it further, while leveling is more tedious now, the fact that air raid nodes and sub nodes only cost a pittance means leveling is cheaper than last time. Like I'm running 5-5 now, and the 1st sub node gives out 175 exp, on a D-rank. You can probably work something out. Although just like last time CAs are harder to level. But those can work as the backbone of your pvp fleet. Also helps if you're not so bauxite stingy that you enter every battle at AI.

I do wish that after completing the event, you're allowed to use all three LBAS on every map.

Eh, it depends I guess? A lot of good Kai2 are fortunately at lower levels. I started back in Sanma 2015, by the time I reached Fall 2015 my fleet was strong enough to tackle all the maps, easy for the later ones though, because ship locking. I was spamming 1-5 at first, then 3-2 once I pushed to it with the sub I got at 1-5. I remember somehow luckshitting a solo sub into a B-rank or something and cleared 2-4.

Did you know I used to level at 1-1? Fuck, I remember getting dupe DDs of the good ones to lvl 10. Major waste of time in hindsight, but I didn't feel bad about it.
Nowadays I just throw them at 3-2 when I'm not doing something else, and pvp of course. Although since my equip slots is always nearing cap I no longer farm equip dupes. Fuck, I still have so many 15.2 cm, but no screws to use them. Still have like 10 Mikumas, 10-20 Agano classes and assorted crap sitting around waiting for levels. Also got like 2 Uzakis for their radar. Even some Nagatos if I need more 41s. But as always, screws are the limiting factor.

Depends on how you run your 3-2A, I never ran 3 CVs or flagship focus.

Anyway, I figure he says 5-2 is more efficient, assuming you focus on one ship because its cheaper. Air raid nodes consume barely any resources. Also you don't need to waste time for your ships to go around shelling crap. The experience gain per time, might be more perhaps if you used to run heavy CV 3-2, but the experience gain per resource spent is definitely much lower.

I don't know how you guys equip your fleet but here is an example of it in action. How are you guys still so uninformed 25days into the event? I would have beaten this event with less than 50k if I started now instead of the first week.

I've gotten Anzio to LD with this fleet, but only managed to sink her once so far.

You dont anti-installation from your CL. Let friend fleet handle the trash mobs, all of them should be setup to kill your boss. Use Abukuma if you wanna roll the dice at the sub node, use ASW if you want an easier time reaching the boss. Also do you have another other yuros? Ark? Pola? Zara? Not sure if you have them but you pretty much have the ideal fleet except for chokekai and the ntrqueen. If you are having problem reaching the boss you can try using the zekamashi/kiton akitsushima fleet

Also fix your Nelson setup, you don't need the FCF. It should be an easy victory as long as you reach the boss.
