For me it's got the fast vocals and punching rhythm reminiscent of his older songs. It's a bit different since it's got those lulls scattered across the song though

i think it's only natural people are not going to memorize japanese P names at first because they can't read them. there's also going to be confusion with artists who use aliases at first. clearly artists with easily recognizable names and music attributed to them are going to be the most popular. can't expect everyone who likes music to also like languages.

rather than just listening, collecting vocaloid is something that demands overcoming the language barrier however, as it's really difficult to do it to an extent without being able to type and read japanese. i'd have to say for me at that point is when the interest became the most exciting.
