Sekai will probably get through around half of their listed "2019" releases before the end of the year, although it will probably be the shorter titles and stuff like Nanairo Reincarnation which seems to be nearly complete now, with stuff like Baldr Sky and the Ley-Line titles being most likely to slide.

MG at least should in fact have an active release schedule through the end of the year between the 4 games planned to be released in the next few weeks and their growing backlog of finished games.

According to the project page, MG finalized the release build for Riddle Star, Kyonyuu Fantasy 2, and Maggot Baits, so that fills the quota for October, November, and December. Imopara 3 and Bokuten are also in the middle of finalizing their builds, so they could possibly release this year. Crowding the release schedule is one way to increase sales in the short term, even if it may come at the cost of reducing overall long term sales. Granted, with 4 titles coming out this month, I wouldn't blame MG for stalling those two titles until next year.

There are 5 other titles that are in the middle of or finished image editing, so the first few months of 2020 might be crowded as well. They are Sakura Mori Dreamers, Nyan Cafe, KF Gaiden 2, Escalayer, and Rance Quest.

SR is honestly easy as hell to pirate, even talking about the MG version, but it's hard to call that a determining reason for the game to flop since all of MG's popular games are easy enough to pirate. Pretty much any tl issue the MG version of SR has existed in Rance VI to some extent as well, so that's not a big reason either. It might be possible sales are down since MG isn't using future Rance licenses as a lure, but we'll see.

I think the rankings will be a bit more trustable next week. By then, we should have a somewhat more accurate picture of how Sengoku is doing. Though obviously, having so many games released at once makes it hard to predict any specific numbers.
