I can confirm that, or rather, my presence here confirms /v/ does sometimes have good Touhou threads. Reason why I'm here is because last month there was a thread on /v/ on Touhou and they recommended it, with links and all that. Only after playing it I came to /jp/.

Thing is, besides /b/ there is no shit board. There are bad threads and good threads. There are the ones that go to shit and others that good discussion thrives. You just have to learn to wave through the bullshit.

Today I come to /jp/ instead of /a/ because there is less shit to deal with.

I've played about 3/4 the way through P3. Its sorta cool, but they put way too much effort into the VN part of the game, and didn't spend enough time on the combat. Also they try to make the combat feel hard, which I'm all for, but the way they do it is kind of stupid. After a while, all the normal encounters in an area are piss fucking easy, and then you fight one of the uncommon, flashing purple mobs, and they one shot the MC. And of course, if any of the other characters die you can rez them ad infinitum, but if the MC dies, instant game over. Also the fact that you can't control the other characters is retarded, although I guess they changed that in P4. I have P4, but I want to finish P3 before I start it, and I don't feel like finishing P3 because I got bored of it. Quite the quandary.

Both. I like to collect games (especially jRPGs) so I tend to buy those. Since the PSX era I've been keeping my a good majority of my favorite games shrinkwrapped, and then I download and burn the games I buy. Or I burn the Japanese versions.

When I was young and stupid I sold all my NES/SNES/Genesis/Sega CD games, which still pains me to this day. I pretty much own all the jRPGs on PSX/DC/PS2, though. Oh and I have Sega 32X with DOOM and VIRTUA RACING.
