I guess we're wired differently, then. For me, Flandre is easier than Suwako. Hell, if we discount Princess Tenko and Illusion God, Ran is also easier than Suwako.

Suwako, I tend to die in her first attack if I'm not completely focused (for some reason, the criss-cross talismans confuse my reflexes) and in the second spellcard.

Then you're doing something wrong since Kanako is the easiest Extra midboss in Touhou.
1. attack: stay under her and shoot, dodge in all directions, never hug the bottom.
2 barrage: only move if necessary.
3. up down up down up down
4. shoot, right border, shoot a bit to the left, shoot, left border, shoot, get an extra Life.

True, Kanako is easy. It did take me almost ten attempts to realize the "up-down-up-down" trick, though.

Jesus, you people, Frogger's first spellcard is a joke. The name "Two Bows, Two Claps and One bow" is there to help. The "Claps" are streamable, meaning if you hug the "Bows", you can send them to the sides of the screen.

I just move in a triangular formation instead. Point one and two below Kanako, and the other one to the far right.

Either way, Kanako is bloody easy, and even most of Suwako's spellcards can be figured out, although having three endurance cards is a pain in the neck.

Stay under her and shoot for as long as possible. When the first ring nearly hits you, while grazing the bullets, move along the bullets to the (let's say) right, up and directly above Suwako at the top, so that nearly all rings are fired directly UP or DOWN, then, when rings nearly hit you again, complete the circle and move under Suwako again.
Should you still be traped, just bomb, because you don't lose anything if you bomb (except for the spellcard bonus)

It's honestly not that hard! Most of her attacks are streamable or easy to dodge, and if not for you, just bomb on them. They kill her very quickly.

On the other hand, if Kanako is hard, then you are going to have a lot of fun trying Suwako.

The target for the lasers is determined by your location when Suwako first appears (not the start of the spellcard). Wait at the top before she appears, and move back down quickly so you don't get caught in the noncard attack, and it becomes trivial.

It's actually slightly after her conversation ends. I've had times where I run down immediately after the convo and it ends up shooting sideways, which can be fatal or trivial, depending. Just hang around above her for a little bit longer after her convo ends.
