The fact that this site is split and the ever increasing percentage of outsiders who mostly use other modern sites regularly already sign for things to come. 4chan and it's users is product of the older internet, which is slowly but surely becoming incompatible in these times (by those who operate modern sites and the users they bring up).

Just so you know, you can still download your exhentai favorites. Follow these steps:

1. Install Tampermonkey (it doesn't work with Violentmonkey) and get this userscript: https://sleazyfork.org/en/scripts/23406-sadpanda-save-export-all-favorites
2. Go to https://e-hentai.org/favorites.php and click the new "Load All Favorites" option that will appear on the top right, after Hentaiverse. Then press Start. If you have a lot of favorites, this will be a CPU and memory-intensive process.
3. Copy the generated log, filter out the text and get only the URLs, and replace e-hentai with exhentai. You can do this in a few seconds with a text editor like Notepad++, or if you don't know how to do it, post a pastebin and I'll do it for you.
4. Download and unzip this, execute it and paste the links: https://github.com/KurtBestor/Hitomi-Downloader-issues/releases/download/v2.6c/hitomi_downloader_GUI.zip

I recommend you to prioritize the older, more obscure stuff. This might stop working anytime so download it while you can.

Adobe is going to stop supporting the plugin and after that the popular web browsers will stop supporting it as well for security reasons. You will only be able to run the plugin in older/more obscure browsers and maybe Internet Explorer if Microsoft allows it. That's why the thread creation timer was raised. It was just a handful of people spamming dumb shit all day. Thankfully it'll never return to that even when the spinoff-tards come back because one of their shit spinoffs went down.

In addition it was a whole lot easier to scrape Nyaa than it was to scrape EX. No shit Nyaa got revived almost instantly. All the data for that site could be gotten in minutes if you had a fast internet connection, and be put on a USB stick if you wanted to. Not as long as you need to be physically connected. Maybe local area wireless or lan type deals but after that, you'd need to have some on-foot portion or be able to lay down lines. Anything else would be like running a pirate radio station or hijacking cable/satellite signals.

Besides no matter what you did, someone could just infiltrate it or tell about it to others. Corporations and law agencies are just made up of normal people after all. The best thing the internet could do is go back to the world wide web era. Sites linking to sites linking to rings of sites. None of this searching on google and then to the site stuff, just unlisted sites instead of search engines and centralized content collection sites.

The principle of archiving the original work is more important. Nobody values the "artistic insight" of the translator. It's the original work people care about. I mean sure if the English one is there grab it too if you want, but raws should be the #1 priority.

There's also a decent chance that the thing translated way back in 2005 was done by some fucking retard and it should be redone anyway.

No question the raw is most important. But, artistic insight or not, people also value being able to read the damn thing. >pseudo-general discord like generals
I haven't used Discord, but if it is like that, it is better than I imagined. I guess it depends on the generals you had in mind. What I didn't realize for a long time because I used to ignore the faster generals was that the quality varies a lot from one general to another.

For example, the vocaloid thread is slow, takes it easy most of the time and delivers original content (album rips). It has obvious newfags greentexting clumsily, but they don't cause problems, probably because they are there out of an actual love for vocaloid music. The Virtual Youtuber general is so fast and obnoxious I don't know how anyone can stand it. /tmg/ is neither here nor there. It is slow and dull most of the time with the occasional clever or impressively retarded moment, which when you think of it is appropriate for a Type-Moon general. The DJT is worse than you'd think. The best general I know I won't even name because it is barely hanging on, but it's a cozy place with a slow and steady stream of OC. I don't know about the 3DPD generals.

Even with limited bandwidth you will be able to download it all over the couple of months and then keep up with the updates.
