Jesus fuck, can someone fucking explain how the fuck the Japanese settings for these yukkuri games work? both the yukkrarium and Eight Views of Yukuri games give me "Startup failed" errors after extracting to folders that have gibberish in them. I have regular Japanese support enabled in Win 10, I can even input Japanese 日本語を書き込めますbut it still shows as gibberish even though the parent folders render ゆっくりjust fine.

Not that anon but is there any reason to not leave it in Japanese? I didn it for a similar reason, but, instead of changing it back like I had sometimes I decided to just leave it, I've run into really no issues. \ is ¥ but again that doesn't effect anything really.

The only issue I have come across is some programs will automatically detect you are in Japanese local and will change to Japanese language accordingly. But that's easy to fix. There maybe some program that will throw a tantrum if it's not in English, but those programs are so few and far inbetween. I haven't yet run to any such program, so for the most part it's fine to stick to jap local.
