Rain's route shows up how timeline manipulation is a huge clusterfuck that solves nothing. Kanata in that different timeline is not the MC at all but rather completely different person. Rain's problem solved beforehand by timeline manipulation leads to setup where Kanata is not her lover/husband and he can't become one.
Sempai's route is a total mess for that reason.

There might be some big turning point that explains how timeline manipulation is a good thing. But it isn't some Baldr Sky plot whatsoever.

Except it turns to pure shit in the heroines routes, a complete huge waste of time. I am really enjoying DEAD DAYS so far, I loved all the characters. It's pretty fucking cool that all the main characters have their own point of view parts, and they change quit frequently, so there is really no one MC to the story. Pic related is my favorite.

Try Reins route, its still got drama and plot but its closer to past toneworks titles. Probably the best route, although I haven't done Uguisu yet.

Toukas route is really just an outlier, none of the others use the timeleaping messages plot as much or at all.

You know Narahara Ittetsu, the guy who wrote Hanachirasu and Muramasa? I fuckin love his fight scenes and how they have such detailed explanations of kenjutsu and every single possibility and move (particularly in Hanachirasu).
But he only wrote those 2 things. Does anyone know other VNs, or books, or literally anything else with this level of precision and knowledge about kenjutsu, with this level of mindgames? There might be other things with detailed sword battles but they don't seem to do this kind of thing, and I can't believe there could only be 2 works with this writing style in the whole world.

I'm still early in the game in Dead Days, but the plot seriously seemed to go off the rails if you choose to go help Tengan when he says he's being chased, instead of prioritizing the mission. The mission is just skipped with no details (and no details of how they saved Tengan either) and then H-scene with biker lady. It just felt really jarring so I went back and picked the other option, now the mission is playing out like normal.

Have any of you ever played Biniku? I played it before, but opening it now leads to a black screen with audio from what I think is the start of a new game.
