The flag of the Soviet Union was the greatest flag in existence. It was simple, modern, and had more meaning and symbolism packed into it then any other flag before it.

The state flags are even more ridiculous. I should know, I'm from Georgia. A few years ago people were really butthurt about having the a flag modeled after the Confederate flag (way back in 1956). This is what they replaced it with.

America's flag is symbolic of it's history, the stripes represent the original colonies and the stars are the current number of states.

The 1st flag's stars were based off of the number of colonies only.
