The Tower update in Rays was good. At the end of each run your remaining anima orbs are converted into a score which gives you a certain amount of books, then you can use those books to buy skills straight from the tower shop. There's a guaranteed mirror ticket in there too. Since the shop resets every 3 months just doing 1 full run per day will be enough to buy the first copy of several T3 skills. Autoing 1-50F over and over in the background is also an option if you have the time but a single full run is less time consuming.

Awakening filler characters and equipping dupe 5* is gonna be useful since you want as many orbs as you can get, I have 538 base orbs but I need at least 500 left at 50F and 60F to get rank S. The skip tickets give you rewards equal to a full run instead of letting you jump to a certain floor, pretty nice.

Brief overview of Sdorica is as follows.

Gameplay is a mix of puzzle and turn based RPG.

Pros
Characters tend to have a unique feel to them, thus causing the player to change game-play strategy to use them properly.
Battle system is easy to pick up but has a deceptive layer of depth to it.
Art style is pleasant to look at and stands out against other gachas. OST is a treat to listen too.
Main storyline is engaging and well written; has interesting plot developments.
Character story-lines are also entertaining and add more detail to the world building.
No Action Points that you need to worry about managing.
Game can be played in short bursts but allows for longer grinding sessions when in the mood.
No need to no-life it in order to keep up to date.


Cons
No Action Points. Because of this you can clear out endgame quicker than other mobages.
Once you do that you'll have to satisfy yourself with dailies until new content drops.
Limited in-game interaction with other players.
To elaborate, PVP is a leaderboard scoring competition.
Co-op interaction consists of building teams together (actual gameplay is seperate).
Guilds exist (with chat) but there are no guild events (yet).
A bit buggy. Devs are pretty good at communicating fixes though.

Gacha
Gacha rates are on the lower end.
This is offset by all gacha units technically being SSR.
You just need to pull them once at any rarity.
The needed mats to raise units' rarities are all grindable.
There is a system similar to sparking.
Game is balanced around everyone being usable and rewards a wide roster vs having a select few strong units.
No need to reroll to avoid being "gimped".

I haven't played Dragalia long enough to give a serious no memes review on it but it looks better than people give it credit for on surface. One thing I'll say is that the controls are 100% inferior to shironeko though, that's absolutely for sure because it feels infinitely better and more satisfying to skill spam or spam dodge attacks with CC archer for example than the controls for their archers.

The way they say it's "real time" is confusing me. It doesn't look like an autobattler per say since the characters don't attack by themselves but why make it like that if you're still waiting for skills to charge before using them? Then you're just staring at a still screen for X seconds while waiting for the gauge to fill up. I guess the gameplay comes from whether you're using skills that use few bars vs ones that use many but unless it's PvP and/or has a serious hard counter system I don't see that being super interesting in the long run.

Levels can't make up for extremely bad matchups. You need to learn what each character does and compensate for it. Ilya's entire shtick is that she's a magic cleaver who hits your entire front line - you are using nothing but melee characters. You are using an evasion tank meant solely for physical fights who flops over instantly when magic even touches her - 3 of their team is magical. On the flip side the enemy is using an evasion tank meant solely for physical fights - you are using nothing but physical characters. From this you can easily see that the correct choice was to slot in another tank, if available, and use a magic team to prevent Ilya being effective while also melting their Pudding instantly. Or just slot in HShinobu and/or Mimi with her unique equipment to instagib Ilya but one of those is limited and another is endgame so that's not really an option for you.

Vanilla characters only so far BUT they made extra fragments available to purchase for Muimi and Christina so that would imply that those are coming at some point. Though they're not technically limited so I'm not sure how the seasonals will work, they'll certainly need something since the game likes to power creep and there's plenty of seasonals who are just.. not good or got replaced very easily. SPeco for example lasted like a month at best. Some didn't even last at all, SSuzume for example. I'd have thought that maybe they'd get them a year later but last years summer characters haven't been touched so who knows what KMR has in store.

So far the game has been pretty nice, way better than I expected. The name of the game definitely lend itself to memes and there's a great amount of people shitposting about it so it ends up making a lot of people avoid it or never give it a try (like me).

I'm only at the early game right now but game seems very multiplayer dependant like Granblue. Only events i've experienced so far was a facility event where you grind a town building like Shironeko's town buildings and have both a co-op stage and a solo stage to grind it out with Wymprints (Craft essences pretty much) from the event rewards giving you bonus rewards if you equip them and the current one being a New years event rerun that is pretty much a granblue box event without the where you farm a solo stage for the resource to host raids and then you go and host your co-op raids for mats to empty the box and get Bronze/Silver/Gold medals.

The characters seem pretty cute, if this is Dragalia's idea of a boar girl then I have to say Dragalia absolutely won because I like it a lot more than Granblue's zodiac for this year. The controls are still sort of hard to get used to because I prefer shironeko's controls in this type of game but I guess they're not that bad after you play more. Gameplay is different too because your skills have a cooldown and you might actually have to dodge the bosses moves instead of just spamming your S2 forever like in Shironeko so the co-op end up feeling completely different.

The story is fully voiced and okay, again, I haven't read much of it to really but it seems better than the story in other games like Epic7 for example where their sidestory events feel pretty halfassed while the event stories in this game are pretty nice. MC also talks, does things and has a personality of his own which is rare in games like these considering MC is always the blank and/or mute self insert but is nice and different.

The music is nice but could be honestly a lot better. Daoko is nice and all but feels like the BGM can't read the mood a lot of the time and you'll be hearing daoko untz during serious moments or similar stuff which feels out of place. There is also a lot of vocal tracks in the game everywhere (Title screen, menu screen, etc) and I prefer it when games save the vocal songs for those real shit/hype moments in the game to really get you pumped but it's hard to get pumped about a vocal track in a stage playing when they're everywhere here.

In the end, I'll probably stick to it because it's nice and makes me feel like I should have picked this up for an English game instead of suffering with Epic7 but launch seemed pretty bad so maybe it was for the best I didn't.

Yeah if you can't run it then it's not even a choice. Game like this you need a steady framerate. Luckily my OP6 can run Rich 3D without any framerate drops. It buffs her attack and completely fills up the TP gauge to full, and in most cases by the time it procs you would not have been sitting on full TP anyway.

A lot of the enjoyment comes from the production aspects (story, art, etc.). I'm not even sure how complete EOPs are even getting by since story translations are so sparse. If you want something with a bit of depth to the gameplay, the only real depth the game has is in making viable party comps for harder content like clan battle and luna tower. The day-to-day stuff is definitely not the most engaging thing around and progression can get really stilted at times because of how limiting stamina/mana are. If anything it's a solid side game.

It's very similar to FGO all things considered. The team building is very bare bones and the gameplay is bland but the story and characters carry it and make it enjoyable, the one main difference is that unlike in FGO which characters you have makes a much bigger difference because the game has competitive aspects to it and has a larger powercreep that new content gets balanced around. Old characters get buffed with unique weapons but they can still end up being mediocre and using your favorites for everything isn't realistic. If you can read Japanese then give it a shot and see if you like the story, the chances are you will and you'll have a good time playing it. If you're an EOP then ask yourself if you'd play FGO without being able to read the story or find translations for it.

Main fun comes from the story. The actual day to day once you get your foot in isn't much due to skip tickets. After the first few weeks you'll spend around 10 minutes a day playing the game.
If you are EOP, you can use OCR tools to translate the text. ShareX has one built in iirc.

Depends on how much you want to 5star Summer Io. The event stages give 1.5x player exp too so it's not a bad idea for new players.

Also some advice: if you can't beat the hard boss in one turn yet then you should just do the normal boss fight once per day (for the daily mission) and then save the rest of your boss tickets until the last day of the event. By then your characters should be a lot stronger and you'll hopefully be able to kill the hard boss in one turn.

All of the non-limited characters are farmable. You should try to reroll for Makoto though since she takes a long time to farm for.

Yes. From what I've seen, most people that don't play mobile games think that any game that makes you roll for something is immediately a gachapon while completely disregarding everything else about the game. To them, it's not a game that has a gacha mechanic, it's a gacha that has gameplay tacked onto it.
And more on the word just losing meaning, it's similar to how every single game under the sun, especially action games, are immediately called "Soulslikes" because people don't understand game mechanics other than hitting the attack button or how, back when I played it, I've even witnessed people calling Kantai Collection a mobile game instead of a browser game.
