when i see a word i know i've seen multiple times but i forgot the meaning or reading or both, add it
but only with the japanese def that matches the exact context i saw it in
and the sentence/phrase i saw it in on the back for future reference
usually words like that only come up a few times a day if i read a lot
so my reviews should be very small
everything else i encounter during input just gets looked up, not added to anki

i didn’t pick up my first raw manga volumes till after i read ~20 pages of this book. before that i’d been doing a regular textbook and was scared to touch actual native materials until who knows when
